For much of the beginning of this book, it seems nothing is happening, but the very dramatic ending would not be possible without that lead in. I‘ve found that reading Moshfegh‘s you have to have patience and be prepared for the weird.

She‘s now an auto-buy for me, and so far, all three of her books have been better on audio. 4.5⭐️

This collection is like Damn! I‘m not sure whether this is my favorite short story collection or whether Fortune Smiles is. This book just touches my heart. 5⭐️

So it‘s still the #MonthofRereads, and I was looking for something different/weird. I remember finding this book strange the first time I read it, and it still is. It‘s sardonic without being funny, at least to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

But I‘m compelled to keep reading...

I just finished reading this for the second time. I just love it. I don‘t always agree with Cheryl‘s advice, but it always makes me think. 5⭐️

I bought a copy of TBT for a friend who‘s having a tough time. And I got some gluten-free candy for Christmas and my favorite gift, my new bookish tumbler, which I plan to fill with iced tea soon!

I like this book more every time I read it. It‘s about how being grown up can be f***** up. Are you a grown up? What makes you one? Is the line age, maturity, accomplishments?

I guess I can relate to the MC because I am near forty, unmarried, and child-free by choice.

The book is non-linear, so if that‘s not your bag, then skip it. 4⭐️

I know you probably aren‘t going to believe me, but this was the perfect book for #audiowrapping! Ottessa really has become one of my favorite authors. And I strongly recommend the #audiobook over print.
