*Perhaps they‘ve gone to television heaven, after the characters from Craig Johnson‘s (pictured, center) Walt Longmire series was adapted for TV. The show, titled simply “Longmire,” began life on the A&E network, then moved to Netflix, where it was cancelled after season 6. Walt Longmire is my idea of the classic cowboy. A Cold Case in Amsterdam Central | Anja de Jager

I enjoyed the first in this series set in #Amsterdam, so will get to this one day.

Lotte Meerman is a cold-case detective with a whole heap of secrets, lies & complications in her own life. Very atmospheric, & the conversations in Lotte‘s head are as messed up as the case. From the cover, it looks like the cold weather continues in this one- a very Scandi-Noir feel.

This is probably the longest series I've read, and Jim Butcher still keeps dishing them out (#15 now?). This is book #9 and wow, the action towards the end was intense! I loved seeing Harry's old friends and new friends come together. It's not easy to sustain a series this long, but so far, every installment has been better than the last. 👌🏼
