The 19th installment in the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series, first published in 1942 under the pseudonym Carolyn Keene, Nancy is drawn into a mystery when she meets a young woman named Ellen Smith, who seeks help in locating a missing half of a treasure map. The premise of a split treasure map and pirate legacy is intriguing, offering a classic adventure that appeals to nostalgic readers of ND. Plus 2 #nnk's! 🤣
4. Nancy sure ran into lots of issues in this one! I have a headache thinking of the number of times she slams her head and/or is rendered unconscious. And, to a degree, the “Browns“ best her by tricking her into following “clues.“
What did you think of the criminal element in this story? The Browns seemed especially relentless to catch Nancy unawares.
Should Nancy receive medical care for her head? #NNK 😂

3. While we are talking about elements to the story, think about the other aspects--haunted house, kidnapping, missing relatives, etc. How did these add or detract from the story line? To me, they seemed more plausible than exploding oranges! Any element that was your favorite? #NancyDrewBR
TWO #NNK in one book! The Nancy Drew goddesses are smiling on us. 🤕🤣🤣🤕

Woohoo! We finally get an official #NNK! 😆😆🤕

I actually finished Book 19 for #NancyDrewBR last Sunday but I‘m behind in reviews. This one is in the middle for me. There are no exploding oranges or sauna pool of boiling water so the action isn‘t quite as crazy. We are back to Bess being described as “slightly plump” & Nancy is in art school which I don‘t think has ever been mentioned before. Small concussion spoilers ***For those keeping track of the #NNK counter⬇️
