Listening to this now. I have heard good things (even if I had no clue and can never remember what rock band he is in! I am clueless with popular music these days)

ChaoticMissAdventures I still think of him in Nirvana first and foremost. 4d
Suet624 This is such a good read. 4d
aa_guer2021 Thank you for reminding me that I haven‘t finished this yet! 😣😬 4d
nanuska_153 He was the drummer in Nirvana and he played drums with Queens of the Stone Age too. He's also the lead singer and founder of Foo Fighters 3d
BkClubCare @nanuska_153 - ok, yeah, I probably deserve that. I know who he is but I have never listened to that era‘s music 😏 But thank you for letting me know Graham Norton writes books! I love his show. 2d

I wanted to like this more. After waiting and waiting for it to be one of our book club picks, I felt kind of let down. It was… ok. It feels more like a bunch of stories spoken into a tape recorder and then transcribed. Also notable for what he doesn‘t talk about. #FirstSaturdayReaders

While I may not have been a huge fan of grunge or alternative rock, I couldn‘t help but appreciate the raw talent and unwavering determination displayed by musicians like Dave Grohl. Over time, I‘ve come to know him for his kindness and generosity. Therefore, when his autobiography, The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music, was released, I knew it was a book I had to read.

Books I found in the Little Free Library on my walk yesterday arvo before my paddle at the rock pools. The perfect way to finish a Sunday before my first full week back at school for the year.

Excellent book about Kurt‘s life, career, and death - told by Nirvana‘s manager. My favorite from November!

I love Kurt (and Nirvana) and enjoyed this look into his life and career by Goldberg, the band‘s manager. I can‘t believe it‘s been 30 years since his death…it‘s one that still hurts. 💔

ChaoticMissAdventures My little teenage heart. Such a blow. Did you see Francis Bean and Tony Hawks son had a baby? I have never been so excited to hear about a baby, even in my own family ahahha. 8mo

Like most Gen X-ers, Nirvana had an impact on me, and in keeping with #nonfictionnovember, I decided to make this my #readordonate pick. I really can‘t believe I haven‘t read this yet!

Librarybelle I really liked this one! 8mo

It was interesting learning more about Grohl‘s life and about the bands he was in. He is a wonderful juxtaposition of dorky kid, anti-everything rebel, and man with a heart of gold.
