And a funny little cosmic book/life story: I saw VH in March 1984. The following month I met and started going out with my boyfriend and we realized we both saw VH the same night. As of yesterday, we're together 40 years! Just strange that I decided to read this book now 💫

pick4.5 stars, very close to 5. This was an excellent collection of rock and roll stories, expertly written and wonderfully narrated, told with humor and heart. He is humble, a little insecure, and he shared some of his philosophies for life, but much of it was more surface level. However, for anyone who is a fan of Dave's projects or rock music in general, this is easily on of the best bios available, and audio is highly recommended.

pickI watched the film a few weeks ago and today I listened to the audiobook. Priscilla, now 80, narrates this memoir that was published in 1986. The film closely aligns with the book, which is rare. They met when she was 14, he was 24. It seems unthinkable to let your 14 yo daughter date a 24 yo man, (even if it was Elvis), especially in 1958. I learned a lot…

pickI recently watched the Priscilla film; it was amazing with great acting and all my favorite tunes from the 50s and 60s. At top right is the real wedding pic, bottom is the film. Connolly‘s bio of Elvis is comprehensive and well-written.

pickI started this yesterday on International Women‘s Day, which I thought was fitting. I‘ve always thought Ann‘s voice was awesome, and that both she and Nancy were badass! This was a great account of their career - the highs and lows, the sexism in the industry, and their sisterly bond.
