Finally really giving this a go. Started to read this a few times before but never managed to get that far, I was always put off my the sheer size of how long the series is, but this time feels like the right time to read it. And I‘m getting farther in than I have in previous attempts. So this is promising.

I'm back from a reading hiatus due to some rugged travels where I didn't have room for hard copies of books in my luggage. I missed this little community (and reliable Internet)!

I'm struggling through this part of the series. I'm interested to see how things will change when Sanderson takes over the writing. For #10, I'm putting forth my earnest efforts to soak it up, be present in the writing, and enjoy it.

Bk6 of July is done. The 11th book in the WOT, it‘s the last one written by Jordan before his death. The Pattern is unraveling, the dead are walking, bubbles of evil are everywhere and the land is dying. Rand is struggling with his madness while trying to force peace so the Last Battle can be fought together. Bk5 of July is done! The 10th book of WOT & The world is rapidly moving toward Tarmon Gai‘don & while Rand has cleansed saidin, men who can channel are still distrusted. Mat has escaped Ebou Dar with Tuon but finds keeping a High Lady more difficult than he feared. Perrin is making a deal with the enemy to rescue Faile & Elayne is fighting for Andors crown. Bk4 of July was finished 2 days ago. The 9th in the WOT, this one is important. Mat is stuck in Ebou Dar when the Seanchan invade & finally meets the Daughter Of The Nine Moons, the woman he‘s destined to marry,Perrin is still chasing the kidnapped Faile, Egwene & the rebels start the siege of Tar Valon & Rand with Nynaeve takes the ter‘angreal keys & attempts the impossible, cleansing saidin. #BookspinBingo #SeriesLove2023 #ChunksterChallenge2023

Bk3 of July is done. Finished this one a few days ago, have since finished two more! The 8th book of the Wheel Of Time series, it‘s also my least favourite as it has a lot of Faile, my least favourite character. She does my head in honestly. Plus this is more of a “hurry up & wait” sort of book, it fills in what happens between here👈and there👉in a long series. Moving straight on to Bk8 of The Wheel Of Time series, hopefully I‘ll finish this reread before petering out at bk10 like last time! Nynaeve, Elayne & Aviendha have escaped Ebou Dar just before the Seanchan, leaving Mat & Thom behind. Perrin faces some of the scattered Shaido Aiel, and losing his wife, Faile, forever. Not the best of the series by a long shot, but it has a few plot points inc:Perrin & “Maigdhin” meeting & Elayne entering Caemlyn.

Bk2 of July is finished. The 7th book of the Wheel Of Time series, it picks up right after the battle at Dumai‘s Wells. Rand now totally distrusts any Aes Sedai, meanwhile in Cairhien Colaveare has taken the throne thinking Rand taken. Mat has his hands full in Ebou Dar trying to keep Nynaeve & Elayne safe while trying to dodge Queen Tylin.
