#hallowreads #scarybooktomovie

Lots of fond memories of watching Hitchcock films with my grandfather. Psycho was the scariest, but a favorite.

Bklover I always liked Rear Window! 7y
erzascarletbookgasm Psycho movie was really good! I remember being afraid of taking showers behind a shower curtain for some time 😅 7y
BibliophileMomma 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 7y
mrp27 @Bklover Rear Window is so good! 7y
mrp27 @erzascarletbookgasm Same here! Hitchcock movies always had just the right amount of scare for me. 7y

The original movie scared the hell out of me when I saw it at eleven. But recently I listened to the audio book and loved It. Also the new movie is fantastic. #scarybooktomovie #halloweenreads @Tiffy_Reads @JoeStalksBeck #screamathon @4thhouseontheleft

StephBengtson I‘m reading the book and waiting for the new movie to come out on DVD. I‘m a theater screamer. 😱 7y
Bookzombie @StephBengtson #theater screamer” I love that! I usually wait for scary movies to come to DVD so I can watch them in daylight and have the ability to pause it. 👻 7y
Cathythoughts I loved the book too 👍 7y
AmyG I loved the original movie. It will always be my favorite. 7y

The Exorcist is one of my faves but I haven't seen Something Wicked This Way Comes...maybe I should after getting through the book?
@Tiffy_Reads @JoeStalksBeck

TobeyTheScavengerMonk It is suuuuuuuper low budget, but the acting, especially Jonathan Price as Mr. Dark, elevates the whole thing. 7y

I really liked the book! Never saw the movie. #scarybooktomovie #hallowreads

Reggie This book was dark scary to me when I read it as a teenager. Did you read The Regulators which is a Bachman book with the same characters? 7y
RealBooks4ever @Reggie No, I did not know they were the same characters! 😄 7y
RadicalReader @RealBooks4ever I am so completely surprised when I found out authors write under pen names but then their work seems so completely different when they write under the pen name compared to their name 6y
RealBooks4ever @RadicalReader I agree- how does an author write in two different styles? Guess it's talent. If I were a writer, everything would sound the same! 😆 6y
RadicalReader @RealBooks4ever I would be the same way lol I find it very interesting when authors use the pennants with opposite genders than what you come to know them as. Like how JK Rowling the author of Harry Potter writes under the name Robert Gailbreth too. For the longest time I thought Lemony Snicket was the author's actual last name didn't know it was a pen name Daniel Handler used. (edited) 6y

It turns out Stephen King had the first book AND movie to terrify me. I watched Pet Sematary as a young kid (doubt my parents knew) and it has stayed with me since. Gage creeped me out so bad I refuse to read the book!
#Scarybooktomovie #hallowreads

AlaMich I read the book as a teen and that was plenty creepy too!! 7y
kyraleseberg @AlaMich Yep, can't read it because all I'll see is this photo ☝️ and I'll have nightmares for days 🙈 7y

#HallowReads #day24 #ScaryBookToMovie This is No1 on my top 5 scary book to movie list of all time.I first saw the movie years ago when I was 11yrs old & it scared the pants off me!I then read the book a few years later when I was about 13 before reading the sequel "Legion" at 15yrs old. They are the most terrifying set of novels ever written,if you want a good scare make sure you read these. And then listen to the audiobook read by the author.?
