For my #seasonsgreetings2016 #poetry entry, here are most of the Ellen Hopkins YA novels (*Smoke* and *Traffic* are on my #tbr list). I love that for most of her books, she writes in verse. These books are fairly quick reads but definitely not short on intensity. If you want to read these, I'd start with *Crank*, her first book.
