A day late, but #showusyourtree #decktheshelves I still have the first Christmas tree I bought as an adult out on my own! I will be using this thing until it falls apart. (Also love my wooden animal statues my husband gifts me. He understands the kitschy way I like to decorate. Haha) Even the lamp is getting in on the action!

My dearest son got excited when he saw some of the blue foil shreds I was using to pack with some Christmas gifts and decided to use it as tinsel. It‘s staying for now. 😆 That boy loves decorating for the holidays. 💕 #ShowUsYourTree #DeckTheShelves
My tree isn't up yet, so here's my mom's beautiful tree and the wonderful built-in bookshelves I grew up with. I spent many hours reading those encyclopedias and that gigantic dictionary! The cupboards at the top and bottom are full of books, too. You can't really tell from the photo, but there's a fireplace to the right of the bookshelves. #DecktheShelves #ShowUsYourTree

Clearly, this is not a large tree but it's absolutely perfect for my home. This was how I spent most my day, reading and feeling lonely during the great #LitsyCrash2017 . It didn't occur to me check out Goodreads but now I know I can connect with you all there in case it happens again. It's good to have Litsy back and I'm cracking up over all the posts!
