Oh! Christmas Tree! | 
I think the election has broken my husband. He usually never wants to decorate before Thanksgiving. Although we aren‘t doing turkey this year because my kids don‘t eat turkey. Plus now that my husband works with the federal government he has no time off (only 11/28). We decided to buy a fake tree due to the reality of there will most likely be more droughts, forest fires in the upcoming years.

BarbaraJean I used to be a staunch no-Christmas-anything-before-Thanksgiving person, and I would get annoyed when neighbors put up lights before then. Then in 2020 I realized I was in favor of people doing whatever they needed to bring a little joy in such a hard year--and I stopped being so judgy 😂 This year, especially post-election, I'm so happy to see people doing whatever makes them happy!! ncsufoxes @Tamra we haven‘t decorated outside yet. Lots of our neighbors decorated for Diwali & have left their lights up. 4d
ncsufoxes @BarbaraJean we usually wait but I think after this election we have found that we needed some additional joy. My husband works with the federal gov‘t (National Cancer Institute), so he‘s freaking out a little bit. He has funding for the next 4 years (his lab is researching something the gov‘t has wanted to study for a long time & they finally have the data). It‘s just so many unknowns right now. 4d
