1) As an attorney, I routinely have to deal with attorneys on the opposite side of my case. I hate it when I lose my temper with them because they are rude or lie or speak down to me because I‘m a woman. I wish I could keep my cool and often I can. But sometimes I just lose it. 🤬

2) Griet is 16 and a new maid to artist Vermeer‘s family. She‘s struggling with the job and wants to go home even though she does the same work there.

I. I‘ve had a variety of jobs since I started working in 1966, but I retired from the last one - education director - in 2022. What I least liked was the job expectations of the higher authorities, and personnel turnovers.

1. I‘m retired! However…willful ignorance on the part of my colleagues used to drive me crazy!

2) Sam doesn't really dislike his job, but he's not a fan of it either. He's trying to support his team by faking amnesia.

💼 The constant baby-sitting and cleaning up unnecessary messes that shouldn't be made if people planned better (I'm in Procurement).
💼💼 Tagged. The author works several different jobs (under cover, technically) to illustrate the living wage gap and how hard it is to get ahead and stay ahead financially. Great read.

1. While I understand these services are necessary, I hate them because it's pretty much all we do all day long: Helping patrons print, copy, and fax. Rinse & repeat.
2. In the tagged book, Ignatius J. Reilly begrudgingly takes on a series of absurd jobs, all of which he loathes.
**I tried reading this book several times and never quite got into it. I'm wondering if now that I'm older and more jaded I might appreciate it more. LOL

1. The only thing I don't like about retirement is that I couldn't do it my entire life. 😂 What I liked least about teaching was dealing with some honors' parents. “Why did Johnny only get 98/100 on his essay? Please explain in detail why you took off 2 points.“ 🙄
2. Tagged. It's not a book but a very long short story. Whenever tasked to do anything, Bartleby would answer, “I'd prefer not to.“
