So for this tarot prompt I am going with Tyrion Lannister, specifically because of his actions in this book. After committing patricide he leaves King's Landing to begins his journey of self discovery. He realizes his family will always be toxic so he leaves them to go in search of the Queen of dragons! 🐉💖 Tyrion is such an amazing character and I love how he stays true to himself!

When @Meaw_catlady and @ErinSueMreads drew a card that symbolizes change and personal discovery, I thought of the Wheel of Time series. At the beginning of the series, the villagers of Emond‘s Field are in over their heads, but by this volume the characters have grown so much. Rand is ready to stop running from his responsibilities, Mat is no longer as selfish as he was in the beginning, and Egwene has matured so much.
For today‘s #tarottakeover, there are so many that come to mind. But, I‘ve chosen The Two Loves of Lydia Bird! After being a part of Lydia and Freddie for over a decade, Lydia has to learn to live her life fully without him.
The first book I thought of was Heidi. Her reclusive, grumpy grandfather doesn‘t want a little girl to come and live with him, but her love and cheerfulness change him. #tarottakeover #thehermit
When I saw today's card, I immediately thought of the tagged book. It's one of my favorites, and definitely very introspective.

I feel like the first sentence in this book says it all as to why I picked it for the hermit card of tarot takeover. Even though this book is as much a story about a Greek family and spans over a century (at least pretty close to it if I recall correctly) - it is as much a story about Cal and personal discovery.
