I woke up earlier with a bad headache & now I‘m tucked in on the couch with green tea and the Pride and Prejudice 1995 series on. Hoping the tea & Excedrin (& Colin Firth) work their magic so I can continue with this book that needs to go back to the library soon, but if not there‘s nothing wrong with a BAndB & PAndP Day! 😉

peanutnine I read the tagged because I love murder mysteries! It was excellent and I think true to the spirit of the original. I also watched the 1995 film, which is a favorite. I didn't know about a mini series! I'll have to check it out

CaramelLunacy @peanutnine I just finished Sense and Second Degree Murder as well. I had a good time with the investigations, and especially Margaret gathering material for her horrid novels! 1mo

CaramelLunacy I watched the movie From Prada to Nada, a contemporary retelling where Nora and Mary are spoiled rich girls in Beverly Hills and have to move in with a working class aunt when they lose their father. I had a good time, though Mary was so horrid at the beginning I had a hard time with her redemption. The big gesture at the end was utterly ridiculous, but the romantic in me went awwwww anyway! 1mo

Watched these two adaptations over the last two evenings and I truly love both. I had forgotten Anna Madeley (Mrs. Hall of All Creatures Great & Small) was Miss Lucy Steele. Maybe the 2008 3 episode series has a slight edge since it has more content than 1995 film.

I spent this afternoon working on my reading journal and watching the Sense and Sensibility movie. I've always loved this adaptation. I feel that it highlights all the best parts and portrays all the relationships even better than the book 😅

Crinoline_Laphroaig That was fun! My favorite scenes are Margaret and the map, Fanny nose pinching Lucy, and Elinor standing up for herself. And the ending. Best Plot Twist EVER! 2mo
