I commented to @dabbe when she posted a screenshot of a BeeGees 45 record picture sleeve . Decided to pull one of my favorites from the way back machine. Pretty fancy with the matching label!

Forgot to post this yesterday 🤦🏻♀️ My favorite read of April. This was full of fascinating history of not only the band but the larger context of the music industry in Britain and America as well as the social-political conditions that put a lot of that history into context. A slow read but HIGHLY enjoyable!
We saw this at the bookstore a few weeks ago and Jace wouldn‘t stop talking about so I finally had to order it from Amazon. At least he has good taste! A nice mini Beatles biography and a great way to introduce them to children. 5⭐️ #Jace #Beatles #biography #littlegoldenbook
Lovely book. Background information from Paul McCartney on the context of these pictures he took. Great photographs in a very exciting time for The Beatles.

I mean, I had to, right? 🤍🤍🤍
I love The Beatles. They were my first musical hyperfocus. I listened to the albums on repeat and read every biography I could put my hands on. But I loathe the song Yellow Submarine. It's such an awful ear worm!

Is it cheating to use the same book for two months? 😂
This book is packed with information and I‘m taking my time and savoring it, trying to absorb the cultural moment that Gould is describing. It requires my full attention (meaning I‘m not reading it in quick hits throughout the week) as it combines history, sociology, psychology, musicology, biography, and cultural analysis. Incredibly written and, at times, hilarious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
