Zelma This is such a compelling book. And I read it based on Hornby‘s recommendation as well, @Reviewsbylola . He hasn‘t steered me wrong yet, though I notice that I often take different things away from books than he does. 6y

I wonder if Southeast Asians of a certain generation think of Imelda Marcos, her shoe collection, & the Marcos regime after seeing those lyrics?! ?? Tagged graphic novel is about growing up amidst the People Power Revolution/Yellow Revolution that lead to the end of the regime, & it's gone straight to my tbr.

Eyre Affair | Jasper Fforde

The title #BodakYellow is a play off Kodak Black, Cardi B says that her flow in the song is reminiscent of his track No Flockin'.

Jasper Fforde is one of my favourite authors for playing off others works, especially the classics. He does so with creativity, wit, and originality. If you haven't met Thursday Next yet, you really should!

Kick Kennedy seems like she was a badass bitch, we all know the Kennedys can “make money move”, and the spine is yellow. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 😎 I haven‘t read this yet, but reading the blurb had me wanting to pick it up now. I hadn‘t realized hat Kick died in a plane crash at age 28. Tragedy sure follows that family. #bodakyellow #aprella
