Wildfire | Hannah Grace

I finished Wildfire on Sunday. This was one of my most anticipated reads for October. Tbh I think some of my excitement was from the book title alone because I already pretty much decided on the song by The Wombats as my #bookmusicpairing 🤣 Russ and Aurora meet at a graduation party that results in a one night stand only to find out they are camp counselors at the same camp over the summer. ⬇️

MatchlessMarie The camp is a form of escape for their respective daddy issues, but they have to carefully navigate the camp‘s no fraternizing rule when they realize they want something more than the one night they shared. I related so much to Aurora‘s chronic oversharing tendencies and enjoyed seeing these characters support of each other through their messy family dynamics. Looking forward to Henry‘s book coming next summer. 13mo

A Clockwork Orange | Anthony Burgess

You ever find a book reference in a song that finally makes you read it? That‘s basically what happened here. A Clockwork Orange has been on my TBR since high school 😅 The slang is a bit much but I gave myself over to it as other reviewers have suggested. I think it makes for a stronger ending if we pretend chapter 21 doesn‘t exist 🤷🏻‍♀️ I still haven‘t seen the movie will probably save for my October Watchlist 🍊⚙️ #BookMusicPairing

Reading_Beyond_The_Book_Cover I still need to pick this up. It‘s mostly because I want to watch the movie, but not before I read the source material. 😂 I guess I better get to it. Have you seen the film? 1y
Ruthiella The movie is more brutal than the book, IMO. 1y

I adored this Christmas Notch novella. Luca is one of my favorite characters I‘ve come across in a long time. He is so extra and unhinged and I love it 😂 Miscommunication trope but not drawn out and obnoxious as this trope tends to be. Looking forward to Kallum‘s story in A Holly Jolly Ever After coming out in the Fall. #BookMusicPairing

A Very Bossy Christmas | Kayley Loring

Combining these reviews because Once Upon a Christmas Carol isn‘t in the Litsy database. The top book was the equivalent of a cold shower compared to the books I‘ve been reading lately 😝 Very cute short cozy romance about a musician forced home for the holidays. Full cast audio.

I love when a book comes with a playlist. Check the link for music from A Very Bossy Christmas https://tinyurl.com/3kzjdays #BookMusicPairing loved getting back to ⬇️

MatchlessMarie the Cannavale/Cassidy family dynamics in the Very Holiday series. I read a Very Vegas St. Patrick‘s day in March which is actually the 3rd in the series but you don‘t have to read these in order. Kayley Loring is hilarious and I will surely read more from her. 1y

PEA is a companion novella to Pucking Around. We get a small glimpse of the future for the Price family. For such a small book we do get a considerable amount of development around Ilmari. Looking forward to Pucking Wild releasing next month! Found a hurricane (Caleb‘s name for Rachel) in this #BookMusicPairing

Mercy 🥵 I understand why the NHL has taken over my Tiktok algorithm now 😂 🌶️ PA picks up where That One Night leaves off. Rachel accepts a fellowship working for the Jacksonville Rays and has a reunion with her not so nameless fling in Seattle.

Couldn‘t skip a #BookMusicPairing for this one. I loved the karaoke scene with Caleb singing this song. Jake‘s “I‘m learning my lesson” has to be one of my favorite lines of the book 💀

Actually surprised this one isn‘t in the database because I am pretty sure I heard about it from here. Sweet and funny second chance holiday romance. Lily‘s mom is an absolute hoot. I feel like I always enjoy the mothers in these Hallmark type books 😂 Had to choose Song For Tom for this #BookMusicPairing coincidentally my current read also features a Lily and Tom 😄 #ChristmasInJuly

Mondays are terrible but at least there is always smut 😈 I finished the prequel novella to Pucking Around and found the perfect #BookMusicPairing for it I think. 🩺 🏒

Remarkably Bright Creatures | Shelby Van Pelt

One of the main reasons I was drawn to the tagged book is because the title made me think of the Dan the Man Album Brightly Coloured Creatures. As you can see one track in particular is nearly on target. I was a little hesitant to start because I have seen quite a few meh reviews. But I really loved this story. The beginning seemed disjointed at first but it was neat seeing how the individual stories intertwined. #bookmusicpairing #thingsincommon

Clwojick I adored it! One of my favourites by far! Marcelias ❤️ 2y

Sometimes when I read a book it will remind me of a song. I am about halfway through the tagged book and I keep thinking about Rosie by Jordan Allen and it reminded me I never shared my #BookMusicPairing for The Flatshare. 🤓 🎼
