1. Last year I did not, but 2 years ago (on right) I did El Gallo from The Fantastiks which was a bit obscure (last minute!) This year I‘ll return to poodle skirt costume

2- Tagged is a bit creepy about the Black Dahlia murder 1947 Los Angeles and its copycats-a good mystery👏🏻👏🏻

The Waiting - Prequel to our Deep Dive Podcast…

This was a good read but nothing particularly new or groundbreaking for Michael Connelly. If you're a fan of the Bosch/Ballard universe, you'll appreciate the continuation of their stories...

This was another really good novel by Michael Connelly. Harry Bosch and Renee Ballard are working to close cold cases. They have lots of trials along the way. They close one case and the Harry goes back to the case he feels he must solve. He travels to Key West to confront the person he believes killed a family of four who were brutally murdered and buried in the desert. 4.5/5

Chilling murder mystery featuring detectives Renee Ballard, Harry Bosch, and Maddie Bosch (father/daughter). Maddie believes she‘s found evidence the Black Dahlia murder from 1947 in LA.

Wow, Bosch books never fail, now I‘m all caught up. Ballard & Bosch have been working cold cases for a while , they work well together. Bosch is particularly intent on finding his white whale, a murderer evil enough to take out a whole family. Connelly is very good in describing how politics & appearances influence higher ups in policing. #seriesLove2024

#serieslove2024 It may sound odd that on a bad health day ( nothing too serious) that one finds “ comfort “in a series with murders , rapes , gangs & etc. Yet Ballard is a great cop & her work with retired Harry Bosch is always interesting. Even the bad cops get their due now & then. It‘s hard to believe I‘m nearly up to date on the Bosch series. The reality of Covid was handled well in this book without overwhelming the story.Kudos to Connelly!

Ruthiella I find mystery novels very comforting-particularly known series. It‘s the familiarity combined with the fact that the mystery is (usually) resolved that makes them so soothing. 7mo

Bosch arrived late and had to park on a cemetery lane far from the grave site.

vivastory I noticed that the actor who played Bosch was in a recent adaptation of a Coben book 9mo
Leftcoastzen @vivastory I haven‘t read any Coben books , shhhhh. 😬😃 8mo

I love Bosch ! I watched all the shows , there is definitely overlap & some changes. Actually the section on the show when he went undercover to expose pill mill crime was much more intense on TV than in the book. The other part of the plot calls into question Bosches integrity as a person on death row say he‘s innocent & Bosch planted the evidence that put him away.
