A quiet mystery which perhaps was not the most riveting. The interaction between Sloan and Crosby does lend to the witty exchanges in the book.

I'm enjoying a wee visit to Scotland with my morning tea 😊
A crow drops a finger on a footpath in front of a walker, and the best laid plans go awry.
Poor Crosby is back to the barely competent sidekick in this one 😆

The brutal massacre of the Harford family at Potwoolstan Hall in Devon in 1985 shocked the country and passed into local folklore. And when a journalist researching the case is murdered twenty years later, the horror is reawakened.
The first Agatha Raisin written by R.W. Green, and it felt so much like the older Agatha Raisin books! Humor, danger, and way more about the murder than Agatha‘s concerns over her love life. And, Penelope Keith as the voice narrator! Great listen!
Amidst constant Yorkshire cold & snow,DCI Jim Oldroyd & his SGT Andy Carter, are called to investigate the horrendous murder of a popular Rev.Clare Wilcox in her church,St Anne‘s.Church members attribute her murder to the monk ghost who has haunted the church for decades. With too many suspects,Oldroyd researches the history of the church, its members & its leaders, leading him to arrive at more questions than answers.A personal twist adds suspense.
I so greatly enjoyed this one! Agatha continues to ponder over her love life, but the mystery seemed to be much more the center of the storytelling. And, there‘s a donkey. Agatha and a donkey are like the greatest thing to witness!
I‘m almost caught up to the current publication in the series!

Martyn Ashmore believes that on one day each year an attempt is made on his life. On the day in question he meets Sir John Appleby, invites him to lunch and as they are about to enter the house a heavy piece of masonry falls between them. Although sceptical at first, Appleby decides to investigate further.
I had a big grin while reading this thoroughly enjoyable excursion which every now and then burst into a fit of giggles.
