Bodies are found buried under a plinth in a Queen Anne garden being excavated and restored and a petty thief finds a dead body in a holiday caravan.

As usual, I enjoyed watching the police and archaeological investigations and the parallels between them.

Andrew65 Think I liked this one and the series more than some others. A very typical English feel to this murder mystery series. Most US Crime is much faster paced and often more gritty. Obviously some exceptions to this on both sides of the pond. (edited) 5y

A mixture of archaeology and a Modern Murder, and a back story from history.

Andrew65 @Crazeedi Book 5 but sure you can join this one and then back fill with the others late on - still 18 ahead of us with the next one published in 2019. Written to almost fill any gaps from previous books. They are quite quick reads. 5y
