This was SO good. Super dark, triggers abound, but I really rooted for Sally ♥️ Definitely a bit of a dark Eleanor Oliphant! @AmyG thanks for sending me Unraveling Oliver as I wouldn‘t have picked this one up if you hadn‘t! 😘 #readyourkindle

I stumbled upon the short story that looks at Agatha‘s first case, way before she moves to the Cotswolds. It was okay. Short stories are hard for me, as I much prefer the development from a novel, but it was an interesting intro to Agatha Raisin. The audio is not a Penelope Keith audio, so I really missed her narration of this. #BBRC #Adult #LongStoryShort #52BookClub24 #AnApostropheInTheTitle
This was a triksy story! 2 detectives are called in for the murder of a night guard at a wealthy high rise. Their investigation brings up all kinds of side issues, but the ending surprised me. A

Nonstop back and forth storylines between Sally/her mom and Peter/Stevie. As the story unfolds you and Sally discover the horrors she & her mom went through & what Peter, as his father‘s favorite, denied. Great story. Terribly bleak. Psychological thriller. Crime! Ireland/NZ locations.
There are a few triggers. It‘s a quick read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/4
What a great read! I had already written “compelling” for this review when I noticed Ruth Ware used the same word on the cover. I won‘t say much about plot or characters, as I think it‘s best to go in knowing little. But I will say this is for fans of Room, The Quiet Tennant, and Elinor Oliphant. I loved it!
Difficult entry for the series, with bad things happening to Cooper's life. As usual, the main 'character' is the setting. The moors and the Peak district front and center at the heart of the story.

Oh Agatha! While this one also focuses a lot on Agatha‘s love life rather than the mystery, I didn‘t find it as disruptive as the last one, perhaps because she and a regular character are both wishy-washy over their futures - to propose or not to propose…
Sinister secrets and grizzly murders abound in this series addition, featuring a less-than-holy bishop and a bunch of church bell ringers, plus an abusive vicar. #BBRC #Adult #TakesTwoToTango
