#ReadingChallenge #poetry #readingwithmaja Well, this was my April poetry pick , so life getting in the way of reading persists. Atwood‘s poetry is very good , her topics then same as now. Nature, living ,aging, family, just universal. Novels or poetry, Atwood is always worth reading. Always thought provoking.Margaret is 84 years old now ,and still adding to the conversations of life & literature.

Aimeesue She‘s the best.🧡 13mo

Nox | Anne Carson
post image

#missingperson #newyearnewbook While definitely not my favorite of her works, this “book in a box” is a singular reading experience. “Nox is a eulogy for Anne Carson's brother, Micheal. In 1978 he ran away to Europe to avoid going to jail. For the next 22 years he communicated sporadically with his family. Some letters and postcards with no return addresses and a handful of phone calls were all that Carson knew of her brother.”

Eggs How interesting and novel 🤔🤗 1y

Decided it was time to make my way through more of Margaret Atwood‘s canon. Between the poetry and incredible art this was fantastic.

Margaret Atwood turned me on to the poems of Robert Service and I have totally enjoyed this collection. They are very readable and bounce between dramatic and humorous. 🛷

This week‘s library haul. I‘m especially excited for EXECUTION POEMS, since I loved George Elliott Clarke‘s memoir.
