HAPPY PRIDE MONTH LITSY FAMILY!!! ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💜🩷

2025 has been a rough year so far for the queer community, so we have to make sure this year's Pride Month is filled with joy, resistance, and of course - great books! ☺️💕 Here are the queer books that I'm starting the month off with!

Does anyone else have any fun books lined up for Pride Month?

Ruthiella Quite coincidentally, I will be reading this book which seems to be a trans coming out story 2w
Scochrane26 Also coincidentally, I‘m reading Middlesex right now. And just finished The Bones Beneath My Skin by TJ Klune, a sci-fi with a gay romance. 2w
dabbe HPM! 🌈 2w
Branwen @dabbe And same to you, friend! 💕 @Ruthiella Oooooh! I have not heard of that one! I'll have to check it out! I can't wait to hear what you think about it! ☺️ @Scochrane26 OMG what did you think the TJ Klune book? I absolutely loved it! Artemis Darth Vader was so adorable! 🥰 2w
Scochrane26 @Branwen I have loved all of Klune‘s books that I‘ve read. Both my friend & I liked this one—I‘m not a big sci-fi fan but loved Artemis & the whole story. He has a way of writing adorable kids & funny combined with emotional stories. 2w

my read for women‘s history month…such a trailblazer—the 1st asian american actress to have a successful career and overcoming discrimination and racism—“…back then anna may wong was the 1st and only today thanks to her struggle she is the 1st of many.” #audiophile #readinggoal #readinglife #womenshistorymonth

Pickpick

A quirky mix of stories about Chinese in America and history. I liked the part about the railroad workers the best. Sort of a hybrid of facts and legends. I haven't read anything else by the author, but I do have another history book about Asians in America I'd like to read. I was in SF last year and I thought the Liberty statue at Portsmouth Square near Chinatown was historical about Chinese in America, but it was about Tiananmen Square.

It introduces students to Maya Lin's innovative thinking and resilience. In the classroom, I‘d use this book to encourage students to think about how they can express big ideas through art, perhaps even leading a project where they design their own memorials for causes important to them. It‘s perfect for integrating art, history, and character education.
