Just one more...😉.
Found this while going through some paperwork. A doodle I did, Once Upon A Time (I didn't date). Some details were difficult to capture here...apparently boredom struck once I finished with Batman 😂 and I left it unfinished.
Not great work, yet it did make me giggle.
In my culture, good natured comedy is healing-like (Laughter can be a gift in a stressful world). While this is not hilarious, hope some will find this to be giggle worthy 🦇😉💝.

1- tackle some errands.
2- Chinchilla...they're like little cuties from a cozy cartoon.
3- There is a bunch of different creatures I would love to be...a surprising pick for me would be the Jaguar. Surprising, because the feline comes in around #20 on my “favorites“ list. Yet, over the last 2years, the Jaguar has been catching my attention for some reason.
Fell to sleep while reading this, and awoke with the song, Bring Me To Life by Evanescence blasting (not literally). I guess my subconscious has found a song match for this book 😂, and here my waking self has been considering something more classical 🤔. Been ages since listening to this...
I guess “ghost“ wins even over Batman. This book has held my interest over all other current reads...bewitching (so far)!
Already reading four books at the moment, don't need to start another book when my limit is normally three.
Then I decided to take a peek inside this beauty before adding it to my bookshelf.
I understand colors, purple invokes mystique, framed by black increases that mystery. Yet I have allowed this book to put its spell on me 🧐. 👇
1 - Walking Off The Paved Pathway. My journey as I venture out of my comfort zone.
2 - Never read the book, yet the other day we watched the movie, “The Secret.“
My mom always raised my brother and I to think positively, be positive. In our cultural ways, my mom has even taught me that in everything I make, cooking/baking, gardening, craft/arts, to be positive while creating because what you make absorbs the energies.
This movie hit home.
From Page ninety-five.
What does it say about me that I always seem to find, Bruce Wayne's logic exhilarating...😂🤔😉.
With Summer just around the corner, about time for me to start this one again...
A few days ago, a friend asked me if I would go with her to run some errands.
Sure, why not.
Then she tells me to leave my books and journals at home because there will be zero time for them.
Yeah, she's not a reader.
I went to my bookshelf, grabbed the first of the smallest books I found on a flip of a dime, and slipped it into my pocket. All ready.
While waiting around for my friend, I had time for 49 pages...👇

Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks aka
horned comet, Mother of Dragons, Dragon comet, Devil Comet.
A rarity that only comes around every 71-74 years. The best time to view it should have been on April 8th 2024.
Yet I cannot find any updates about this that are dated in April 2024.
Strange.
Did anyone try to see this during the eclipse?
I will keep searching...💫☄️🤩. Just wondering if anyone else is curious about the lack of interest about this rarity.

Earlier this week,
My mom: Have any plans for the weekend?
Me: Nope.
My mom: How about a series binge-watch?
Me: Sounds like a plan. What should we watch?
My mom: Let me surprise you.
Me: Epic.
This past Friday evening,
My mom: Who is your favorite character on the Addams Family?
Me: The daughter, Wednesday. Why?
My mom: You mean, this Wednesday? (whips out this DVD).
Me: 🧐🤩💃😉👍.
I swear that my mom is some kind of magician! 👇
I've made a list of the books I'd like to reread (one day. Eventually. Maybe).
I do believe I've rediscovered the book I want to top this list with...🤔who am I trying to kid? Like Batman would ever be 2nd on a list of good things I make😂! Only if there were two Batman books 😉. 👇
Like I've noted, love stories are not my kind of reads...unless there is something I particularly like about the storyline.
If this hadn't been a time-slip, I would't have read it & that would've been a shame because these characters were wonderful.
This one was simply a cute and whimsical romance what was infused with the interesting message about “living“ your dreams.
Would make a great series with wacky Aunt Livi as the magical matchmaker!
It was right around St. Valentine's Day when I went 2 Walmart & found this. Their bookshelves had mostly Romance reads.
I usually browse to see if there is any love stories in the fantasy genre. This time however, I just finished watching the novela, #amorimposible & I “needed“ something similar.
By the time I found this, it felt like buried treasure. It didn't seem what I was searching for at that moment in time, yet it was fantasy...👇
Batman Begins - equal.
Will Trent (TV series). While not completely fair, because I never read the books... someone said that the books are graphic and what I like about the TV show is that they focus on the characters and emotions instead of the violence and crimes. 👇
Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. I believe I read all the books (unless the series has since continued), yet I had only really enjoyed book one. The movies have my vote. 👇
The first three books of, The Old Kingdom Series.
Original reviewed 2016, updated for Litsy 2024.
My mom bought me these books when I was in high school. The bookstore clerk highly recommended them. For whatever reason, it took me awhile to open and read them. One day, I reached up and pulled Sabriel (part one) off my bookshelf and read the first few pages.
I was hooked.
I read through the first one like a storm, which remains my favorite. 👇
While I have been following Amelia Atwater-Rhodes since her very first book, I like the Kiesha'ra series the best out of all her books. A land of shapeshifters and magic.
The story begins with a war between two families, the Falcons and the Cobras. In later books, the Hawks and Wolfs will play key rolls.
A fantastic read.
The Kiesha'ra Series, Originally Reviewed, 2016 updated for Litsy, 2024.
Wow, it's been years since I've read these books. They kind of all blend together now, but they still remain one of my favorites.
The dramas of growing up. Making and losing friends. Mysteries to solve and backstabbing between best friends. The pangs of first love. All surrounded by magic.
I wish this book would have went on for 100 books, but it ended at number 15 with the message that true love never dies. 👇
@DaveGreen7777
I had always dream of opening my own bookstore. When I was 16 I made this sign.
While I doubt that I will ever actually open my own book store, I have reenvisioned my dream shop & don't mind sharing this.
It was going to be fantasy/paranormal focused with steampunk decor.
While I've noticed that some Littens work with books, wondering if anyone here ever dream of opening a bookstore? Do you believe there is a chance these days?
Began fallowing Amelia Atwater-Rhodes from the author's first book.
Discovered way back when Target devoted a huge portion of the stores to books, music, & DVDs (oh, those were the days, 🤔, although not really that long ago 😂).
When I leaned the author was only a couple of years older than me, I became an immediate fan.
Since it has been years, I cannot give this a indepth review, yet this book & author will always remain among my favorites.
With DVDs becoming more difficult 2 find, I'm becoming accustomed to the reality that there will be movies/TV shows that I will never be able 2 watch.
I prefer Drive'in theaters (there are none near me). And streaming is not an option for me.
Believed that this movie would be one of those I would never have the chance to watch...then, like magic, the DVD was available 🪄.
Ridiculous perfection, pure magical! We watched twice (while, I did 😉).
Yeah, this was written for those like me, the childlike!
Even as a kidult, this is still a wonderful read (reread) for me. Truly a magical story with beautiful illustrations.
This was an important book for me as a child. One of the few books with a “Native American“ storyline, and my childhood self understood the rarity.
While not from my ancestral tribes, this was a story from my ancestral world. I loved this story and would spend untold hours studying the illustrations.
Just reread this, and the story is still as profound to me today as it had been all those many years ago. I've fallen in love all over again. 👇
One of the first books I read with ghosts.
What a wonderful read (reread)! Still love this story, and still believe that her cat is immortal...that isn't in the storyline, just me...
Everytime adult me rereads this, I wonder how my childhood self ever ate another pancake again 😳🤔😂🥞😋!
March 31, “César Chávez Day” in the State of California. Reserved this year on April 1st. because the 31st fell on a Sunday.
My maternal aunt, Linda was involved with this movement for awhile ☺️💝.
Never read a condensed book before. Wow, info. just gets flown at the reader! A bit overwhelming...yet makes it more like a soap opera.
While many things happen, the mystery was light and fleeting. More of a drama.
I do like stories about self-discovery and the story is set up in an intriguing way, which held my interest while I waited for the mystery to unfold.
The surprising ending made this drama worthy. Completely unexpected.
