I hadn't wanted to finish reading this while I was only able to half immerse myself into the story.

Well, it had nothing to do with a Christmas slump that I fell into after Jan. 6th, it was purely a reading slump...a real struggle to stay in the story.
Therefore we spent the weekend watching fantasy and Christmas movies (including the TV broadcast of Beauty & The Beast).
It was a rechargeathon, which refuelled my love for all things fantasy and hopefulness.

ABC showed the new Beauty & The Beast tonight! Could never find this on DVD, and we were absolutely thrilled!
A grown up version of the childhood animated classic.

Was considering which of my illustrations I want for my profile, and decided on this one. It is from my, “To Be Continued“ page.
While I tried to keep the first book more on the light and cozy side, the second book becomes more serious and darker. I believe this illustration highlights this, and gives a hint to what is to come if my hero doesn't succeed.

I couldn't find a 2025 planner with all the bells and whistles that I needed, or they were too expensive...I therefore decided to make my own. A desk version and one for my handbag.
If anyone is having difficulty finding a new planner this year, perhaps you can also make your own. You can even use store bought stickers to decorate your cover.

Was stashing my Christmas books onto the bookshelf where I made space for them, and one jumped off and slapped me on my forehead.
It was one I purchased in late Dec. 2024 but hadn't planned to read right away...on my tbr next C'mas list.
As I've posted about, I'm not planning to read any more Christmas until maybe July.
I already have an unrealistic tbr stockpile waiting for me (that I have gathered to begin this New Year with).

Just can't find that Christmas feeling right now, and it seems a shame to continue reading Christmas without feeling the magic of Christmas.
I will return to these reads when the season rolls around again, if not in July.
The season zoomed by way too swiftly, and the world seems too chaotic right now...I need fantasy (the year round kind of fantasy), and Riley Thorn right now.

This was a lovely & sweet read.
It was a tad bit dated, yet it was nice to be back in this decade before the sci-fi reality of today.
Would've liked to see more Angel magical/mysterious scenes.
While C'mas wasn't center stage throughout the storyline, this felt Christmassy. Perhaps knowing Mrs. Miracle was an Angel helped.
Liked how the POV jumped between the characters and enjoyed studying the recipes tucked between some of the chapters.

WOW, this was good...and I should be ashamed of myself because I couldn't finish the perfectly sweet story, “The Mistleoe Matchmaker“ yet I really enjoyed this Christmas, cozy-murder mystery. Yeah, still believe that “Christmas“ and “cozy“ should not be combined with “murder!“ It just seems wrong, yet this was just too good...🤔😂.
I'm terrible...although this is a Christian-influenced story, which was lovely.
