The old man was ancient, yet he moved with the ease of youth. His long gray hair swayed as he walked.
He came in his traditional uniform, black boots and red suit with white trim.
There was purpose in his steps, as he entered a massive room of marble and glass. 👇🏼
A Batman mag. and a Superman mag. were among my Christmas gifts from my mom. I have first gobbled up the Batman stories 😍🦇📚💖.
This offered a glimpse from three graphic novels. Brilliant, and left me hungry for more Batman.
Good thing I'm currently reading the tagged...I've only tiptoed into the first few pages, and this magazine just gave me the push I needed to dive right in...oh, how I've missed this character 🥳🦇📚💖.

Had something more festive ready to post...yet after this dark weekend, I have reconsidered my song choice for this week.
I will always favorite Dick Van Dyke's role in Mary Poppins.
But I always loved the soothing lullaby from the classic 1968 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
“Hushabye Mountain“ is my favorite Dick Van Dyke song.

My mom gifted me the first three books when I was a teenager.
They shamefully sat on my bookshelf for awhile before I began reading book one. Not too long...months, not years
I will always cherish that first time I opened the door into this magical world, since that moment, The Old Kingdom has remained a favorite above favorites.

I may be late to the reviewing party for Red One. Had never even heard about this movie until watching it last night on NBC.
Few movies these days showcase the magical side of Christmas. Red One is a high-fantasy infused storyline, that captures the magic of Christmas and doesn't allow for that magic to slip to the background of the story.

The fact that Gotham has seemingly seeped into reality has truly rocked my psyche.
Still love my Batman, but crazy Gotham has had me avoiding my favorite superhero for months now.
Truthfully, for a Batman fanatic, I don't really have that many Batman books/movies on my shelves...👀🤷🏽....yet when I do read/watch Batman, I soak up scenes like fuel. I delight that I can anticipate Bruce Wayne's/Batman's choices and moves beforehand...

Today is Dia De Los Muertos, Day Of The Dead, All Souls Day.
A Celebration when our loved ones who have journeyed on into the afterlife come to gather with their livings.
Ghosts and Spirits can visit us any day of they year, but Dia De Los Muertos is like a reunion.
This is a gathering of ghosts...children, family members, friends, ancestors, our animal babies, all of our loved ones.

This book was a cozy read. A perfectly light, Halloween storyline, which I believe is young adult.
Finished on Halloween night.
This story combines mystery with the supernatural. A bit slow going, yet interesting enough to keep me reading.

There was a table at the center where four, smiling men sat playing a strange game. Toy soldiers were pawns and torn pages from history books were used as currency. Around them, heavily armed men stood guarding their gameplay.
The gamers wore blue suits with red ties, while the guards were dressed all in black with ski-masks pulled over their faces.

In a language very much like Greek, the old man spoke two words that made the guards jump and run away, abandoning the gamers who seemed oblivious to the happenings occurring around them.
The old, strange man circled the table studying each gamer.
