Not book related, buuut tomorrow is my little cats 5th birthday 🙀. She‘s not the most affectionate member of my family (my shadow yes, but affectionate nope). Though she does hang out while I read and listens to my problems when I come home from work after a hard day. I honestly don‘t know what I would do without her.

This isn‘t exactly book related (unless you count how much I love the tagged picture book), but today is my little girls adoptiversary. Four years ago my roommate and I drove in the pouring rain so I could pick up this sweet and crazy little cat that I had adopted without meeting. She‘s the little love of my life and goes well with books. ❤️

The introduction is well worth it for the information about different flours and how they function in baking. I‘m primarily an improvisational cookie-baker so I doubt I‘ll try out most of the recipes for cakes, pies, and pastries. The basic pancake, waffle, and crepe recipes are helpful, and I look forward to testing the cookie and cracker recipes.

This little girl makes my heart burst. I‘ve spent forever looking for her and turns out she was sleeping in a reusable shopper bag with a new cat toy I never took out. Now she‘s helping pick my next book. Probably Batgirl.

Here‘s another of my little cat Flour and my roommates cat Nina for National Cat Day (with a guest appearance of Adam Levine in pillow form 😹) and the size difference between the two. A total of at least 11 lbs difference.
