Back in the hammock again. I went on a 25-mile bike ride the morning and cleaned the house. I deserve this. Trying to finish this one up today before my book club meets to talk about it. I'm feeling kind of ho-hum about it. But the hammock is 💯. #hammockreads

The Cabin at the End of the World: A Novel | Paul Tremblay

I'm on the fence about this book. I think horror fans will love it but it's a little too gruesome for me. The hammock seems like the perfect place to finish reading. It's too lovely outside, the boogey man won't find me here. #currentread #hammockreads

Char @WanderingBookaneer just cause it made me curious - will the cats have to do a quarantine? My partner has nixed me getting a cat or dog until after I join her in Australia in a few more years. Cause she doesn't want us or an animal to have to deal with the crazy long quarantine to go into Australia. 6y

This is a good book. It is not my favorite book of hers by any means, but it was entertaining and features her trademark soap opera climax and resolution. However, you can tell it's one of her earlier works because she hasn't quite found her style. While I debated reading it so so, I decided against it. Bearing in mind this is her sophomore effort, I went for pick. #HammockReads #LitsyAtoZ #MountTBR
