I don't know if you've seen these, but we absolutely LOVE these hummingbird feeders. 1st: easy to clean. 2nd: the birds can actually REST while drinking. 3rd: No need to use the artificial dyed food: just a 1:4 sugar/water ratio. 4th: Our birds LOVE these feeders!

kspenmoll @dabbe I have one of these but I need a second! I did not even realize about the perch thing. The one I have is in garden. But now I want to replace the kitchen window one that is so active & we all can see them. My garden one I have to be on the porch. I do make my own sugar water, so easy! Thank you!!!! (edited) 1w

So many weeds are actually edible, like dock, careless weed, black nightshade, kudzu, and bastard cabbage.

This illustrated book goes over the harvest and preparation for each plant in great detail.

I am, as Mrs Bookwomble put it, identifying the fuck out of these bees! 🐝🔍🤓
This is a Garden Bumblebee. Other visitors to the flowering shrub in our back garden have been the Honeybee, of course, a Common Carder Bee and a Red-tailed Bumblebee. The tagged guide has 28 of the most common of the ~250 British bee species, and it's enriching my lazy day in the sun 🌞
Also had a few Common Blue butterflies for variety 🦋

I‘ve had an escalating interest in foraging/identifying mushrooms🍄 🤗. I bought this guide recently, and it‘s been extremely helpful. I found so many great mushrooms over the weekend (that I never would have noticed if it wasn‘t for the guidance of this book). Would recommend for newbies. there isn‘t any medicinal information, but still pretty useful 👍🏽
