pickSummer of 1546 and King Henry VIII is dying. The Queen's manuscript is missing and the King has not seen it yet and would consider it to be heresy. Matthew Shardlake is hired to help her find it. This is my favorite historical mystery series and should not be missed. Excellent plots and unique characters makes for a series that is truly a literary masterpiece.
