Man, I am going to have separation anxiety from finishing this series. I LOVED it and it spanned the whole summer, and the first week of fall for me. So many interesting characters in addition to the regular gang. Charlie Goodnight was in every book and I always got a kick out of him. Final book in publication order, second book in chronological order. I love you Larry McMurtry, for giving me an epic Western adventure. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

JanuarieTimewalker13 You could feel the sadness at the end of the book from Larry McMurtry…through Kicking Wolf, Woodrow and Gus. 2mo

JanuarieTimewalker13 @bookaholic1 SOL was very good…but I missed Gus. When you get to Dead Man‘s Walk you will see him young, although, still LD is my fave. 3mo

Sequel to Lonesome Dove…fantastic. It comes in under Lonesome Dove, but I would say this is a must read if you loved LD. As soon as I can get to the library, I‘m getting the first prequel, Dead Man‘s Walk. #Texas #Mexico #BigBookSummerChallenge. McMurtry does women well and they are given the credit they deserve. Love his characters, love his story telling. This book was hugged, just not quite as much, but it‘s worthy.

I‘m posting one book a day from my extensive TBR pile. No description. No explanation. Some will be new. Some will be old. They all spoke to me at one time. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join in on the fun if you want to.
