panReally disappointed in this one. I really liked another book by this author so was expecting this to be good but found it repetitive and slow. Everything was laid out too conveniently and nothing was left to the imagination. I got bored waiting for things to happen. Not enough action, surprises, twists and turns for me. Plus the editor missed some clangers which annoyed me.
Finished my first book for #wintergames yesterday. I listened to probably 90% of this one. Richard Ferrone was such a great narrator 🥹

so-soNot one of his best. Lucas and Virgil are still recuperating from the events of Righteous Prey. With age seemingly to catch up with the pair, they‘re dragged into a case that gets as baffling as ever at every turn. 3 ⭐️

#TasteTest:TropeEdition @Clwojick This Mystery novel had all the tropes in it. The detective with daunting past, the Romance, the red herring, close quarters (Steak outs) Then unlikely victim, which ends badly. The alibi and they really outsmarted the criminal. Who knew? But I really wanted to know why he did it. 😕
