They don‘t advertise it on the box, but Funko‘s enormous enamel Storm pin glows in the dark! I‘ve been enjoying her eerie light since last summer, but she never got bright enough for my phone‘s camera to pick up until a few days ago, when I had the overhead lamp on for a bit longer than usual. Now I get to share this joy with the world.

Meh. I think this is a sense of humour that doesn't quite work for me. Main character is a seemingly irredeemable jerk, the rest of the crew seem to be varying forms of bad, in a lame way. Maybe there's more development later in the series but I'm not hanging around to find out.

Points for sheer eye-grabbing creativity.

Esad Ribic might be the only artist since Jack Kirby who can properly convey Galactus' power. Jason Aaron's Thor run is legendary, but I somehow missed this arc. Making the villain the CEO of a massive corporation is really fun because Thor doesn't quite know how to smite legal machinations.

This is a very quirky book. Gillen wanted to write something that would appeal to teenagers in 2013. There are some really funny moments, and Kid Loki is a memorable character, but I found it sort of unsatisfying. Naming the villain Mother is a bit heavy-handed.

Kieron Gillen month continues with his complete Young Avengers with art by Jamie McKelvie.

Enjoy!

My first marvel comic of the fierce black widow, we get a window unto widows missions, as well as some secrets that dwell under her persona. Will they be revealed or not? A villain that tries to destroy Natasha?
