A nostalgic type of detective novel, based in London during the second World War, it is extremely well written and a plot that's well developed. Maisie Dobbs investigates the murder of an unknown person as reported by her young runner, Freddie Hackett. But far larger forces are at play here..

The sequel to the hugely popular 'The Black Book', Detective Billy Harney unearths a despicable crime behind a camouflaged drive-by shooting in a drug infested neighborhood. He even has to revisit his troubled past to find redemption. Please read my review from here.. https://rb.gy/yzjgdc

I‘m baa-aack! Actually, I never left, but I forgot to post when I started this book. Now I‘ve finished it. This turned out to be a good read - I‘ve only read one other Agatha Christie novel (Murder on the Orient Express), which I preferred, but still enjoyed this one! #agathachristie #mysterynovels #whodunit

Some of us are super excited about a readathon.

Some of us just want snacks. 😂

Kicking off the summer #24in48 with an ARC of the newest Laura Lippman novel, Lady in the Lake. Off to a great start!

I got this book for christmas and I tried reading Murder on the Orient Express once before and could not get into it.
However, with this 3 book collection, I am now getting into it. I love mystery novels like "And Then There Were None" and "Private".
Hercule Poirot is quite an interesting character. So I'm excited to read these stories and unravel the whodunit storylines.

"Or, I should say, that was how it appeared to start. I'm not convinced that stories from real life have beginnings and ends, as a matter of fact. Approach them from any vantage point and you'll see that they stretch endlessly back into the past and spread inexorably forward into the future. One is never quite able to say 'That's that, then,' and draw a line."

I enjoy reading this piece. The plot twist is on point! Though I dislike the romance part, I think it's a little bit too dramatic. But Agatha Christie is all about the mystery and in this one the mystery is thrilling.
