Here is my favorite angel - I‘ve had her since I was young. I still put her on my tree every year even though she‘s tiny!

robinb She‘s gorgeous! 💙 1y

Nicely spaced for notes and such, clear translation of all 3 books of Enoch with very helpful author‘s notes.

I bought this book waaaay back in 2011 and finally picked it up off my groaning TBR shelf. I‘d hesitated because of the mixed reviews, and sigh, they were right. It‘s an academic fantasy that‘s more academic than fantastical; a book that takes itself very seriously. The plot was also a bit confounding at times. I won‘t be continuing with the second book, needless to say.

Suet624 Oh my goodness. I bought this book ages ago too and have tried twice to get through it. 2y
cariashley @Suet624 I regret to tell you it‘s probably not worth trying again! 2y
Suet624 Thanks for reading it for me. Now I can take it off my groaning TBR. 💕 2y
Ruthiella I read this soon after it was published and I agree with your review. It didn‘t quite come together. 2y

129 of 2021. This is a story of an ancient conflict between a group of Angelologist and Nephilim. It was okay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I only read the first novel in this volume. I was entertained, but not overly so. Not enough to read the second novel. The characters were good, the conflict okay, the lore a bit heavy handed. I‘m not sure the draw of rescuing x is enough to propel me forward. He‘s a bridge cool, game over.

In Hollywood Dead, Kadrey strips away all the trappings of the series, making it another raw Stark vs. the world tale. It‘s the perfect way to re-energize the series while reminding us how important the peripheral characters are to Stark. The ending is as it should be, things are tied up but not nearly at all leaving the reader wanting more, knowing there are storm clouds in the distance. MacLeod Andrews is at his gravely best.
