Today‘s haiku is inspired by the bowl of tonkatsu ramen that I ate for a late lunch. Not only delicious, but like all good soups, good for the soul.🥣💛🍜
Tonkatsu comfort
Pork, egg, noodles bathe in broth
Ramen soothes my soul

I LOVE pasta, could eat it every day. It‘s the best kind of comfort food. Carbonara is my fave but I also make a mean Alfredo. Nothing like curling up with a warm bowl of pasta and a good book! 🧈🧀🍜😋

Fascinating memory of noodle delivery in the first half of the 20th C Japan. It will leave you hungry for soba.
I wouldn‘t use this book in my classroom. It seems a little long and not made for a lesson, I would have it around for fun
I loved the story of this book and it was very interesting learning that this does happen in Tokyo. Made me want noodles!
The concept of this book was very interesting. I also found myself CRAVING noodles every time I picked up this book. The history was interesting and the stories of the people she met along the way were fascinating. I enjoyed this book for a light read that was filled with historical significance.

I‘m be been obsessed with trying to make homemade pork dumplings. This book looked like a good place to start. Has anyone tried any of the recipes or know of a better one?
