Used my town time to download and read this book as my #onesittingbook for the #readharderchallenge. #readharder

Also borrowed the second book in the installment but I ran out of Hoopla checkouts for the month so I can‘t read Herding Cats till August. 😔

Such a fun book btw.

PCT miles hiked: 1331 (I‘m now officially past the halfway point)
Books completed on trail: 9

britt_brooke Love your hiking stats! 6y
MaggieCarr I'm working on my #ReadHarderChallenge too :) 6y

I thought this was a sweet, fitting end to the story of Ceony and Emory, though I understand why some people were so annoyed with Ceony‘s continued determination to put herself in danger for the flimsiest of reasons! I‘ll definitely be reading the next book in his universe. This is my #onesittingbook for the #ReadHarderChallenge @bookriot and a picture of my in-laws‘ dog for national puppy day

💕 This book! 💕I read it as my #onesittingbook for the #readharder challenge because it was short but I wish it was longer! I love how she referred to books by their author‘s name as if the books were people, themselves. It didn‘t matter that I didn‘t know much about all the books she was talking about - I still had so many pages dog-eared with cute/funny/profound lines.

readordierachel Yes! Wonderful book! I wish it was longer too :) 6y

This was as delightful as 84, Charing Cross Road. Helene Hanff seems like someone I would have loved to spend a day with and, after reading her books, I don‘t think I am the only one. The last few pages were definitely bitter sweet, as her time in London came to a close and she realized she‘d probably not make it back. Highly recommended.

CherryPie Excellent. I really want this to be as successful as 84. 6y
Bry I just discovered 84, Charing Cross Road and now want to read all of her books! 6y

This was absolutely delightful, while filled with fantastic advice for artist and anyone with a creative bone in their body (young and old). 😊

Thank you, NetGalley!

I finally got around to reading this, and it's as fabulous as I expected. I don't know that she says anything exactly revolutionary, but I still loved hearing those truths stated explicitly. This is great in audio, too.

CaroPi I will not say revolutionary to her ideas. I will say that they are progressist 6y
ferskner @CaroPi that's a good word for it. 6y
alisiakae This would count for Feminist classic for #Booked2018! Other people have read this one for that prompt. A modern classic. 😉 6y
ferskner @4thhouseontheleft I almost did that! But I've always wanted to read The Awakening so I listened to it. Good stuff! 6y

Worked from home today because of a nasty stomach bug I‘m battling. Now that I‘m off the clock, I‘m getting a little puppy & book therapy. #bookriotreadharderchallenge #onesittingbook

First book finished of the new year! And damn -- I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on this book, and then there is that controversy that I really haven't read about, but I liked it. Loved it even. To me it was pretty powerful. I read this as an ebook so I screenshot some of the poems. If poetry is your thing, I encourage you to pick it!

Natasha.C.Barnes Congrats, you're the first to finish a book in this challenge!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 6y
CocoReads I loved it when I read it last year. I‘m not a big poetry person but this book had all the feels. I checked it out from the library but last week I bought both this and the next one at b&n 6y
WarpedSweetness @Natasha.C.Barnes Thanks! It was my one-sitting book for Read Harder, and then I realized it fit your challenge too! @CocoReads I love poetry. I kept seeing it all over and was originally on the fence about it. Then Kindle Unlimited had it so I figured I'd give it a try. (Then the ebook was gifted to me) It does have all the feels. I need to buy a physical copy now, and get her next one. 6y
