pickThe story of the days leading up to & after the crash which claimed the lives of Princess Diana, Dodi Fayed, & their driver Henri Paul from the only survivor, bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones. Although it's not exactly his story in his words as it is told in third person & the reader hears from others such as Trevor's mother & step-father, & his French lawyer.
Already excited... The 2023 list were some of the best books I read this year.

#MayMontage Day 5: Possibly #22ndOnYourTBR - husband and I watched the final (available) season of The Crown and naturally I had to hunt this book down while we were in the UK two weeks back. It wasn‘t easy finding a copy, actually. More on my book hunting expedition post on Sunday.
pickThis book was originally published in 1992. It was updated and re-published 25 years later. The closest we will ever get to a true autobiography of Diana as she secretly collaborated on it‘s creation. Diana wanted to maintain complete anonymity with the book as she knew how much conflict would arise with the Royal Family. Andrew Morton revealed her cooperation with the book following her tragic death in 1997.
