Working on getting organized for the New Year (when did THAT happen?) And it starts by getting my #bookspin list ready to go! My #readingresolution for 2021 is to work on my serieses and get back into my #KingReads I've also got a great #NewYearWhoDis list from @TheLibrarian so that is what I'm starting the year out with!

Looks like a good start to me!

My current reading resolutions. I had an amazingly good reading year in 2018. I loved more of the novels I read than I usually do. I hope this year won't disappoint either.

#readingresolution #nextup

Naj Really hoping you like Midnight's Children. It's one of my all time favorite. 6y
scowler1 Must read American Pastoral. Not sure I'm ready for Dostoyevsky, my 16 year old is though 🤔 6y
readinginthedark These sound like great plans! What's your Lifetime Reading Plan? 6y

You're right @bookriot !! I always lean more towards my comfort zone genres but this coming year I resolve to read more diversely.

I‘ll give this some thought, since I didn‘t do as well with diversity as I intended this year. Truthfully, I need more help corralling my TBR than anything else.

Give it a try here: https://bookriot.com/2018/12/05/reading-resolution-quiz/

sprainedbrain I love all of these results people are posting. I feel like I should do them all! 6y
tjwill Yeah, mine said to read more, but I read more this year than I ever have, and I chose the 100+ option on that question. 🤔 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @tjwill That‘s kind of nuts. You‘re so busy and still reading a whole bunch! 6y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @sprainedbrain There‘s never a wrong way to read! 6y
MaleficentBookDragon Mine said to read outside my comfort zone. But there is sooooo many more still left on my #TBR that are in my comfort zone (and in my 🏠) 😂 6y
saresmoore That‘s what I got, too, and fortunately my reading list for next year is abundantly diverse, so far. Smash the patriarchy! 6y
Gezemice It just told me to read more. Really? I have read 127 books tjis year and it is about my limit - they were longer books this year... 6y
Gezemice @tjwill Same here! Me thinks their program is buggy. 6y
jfalkens I got read more 6y

#readingresolution day 23 #mother @Jess7

안녕하세요! 이 민진의 파칭코는 훌륭한 책이다! 그것을 읽으십시오!

This book is a beautiful, sweeping story that follows a Korean family to Japan during the Japanese occupation of Korea. It tells of a mother's sacrifice and love for her family. I have a fascination and appreciation for Korean culture and history, this book was something I'm so pleased to have experienced! One day, I'd love to read it in it's original hangul!

erzascarletbookgasm I‘ve seen much love for this. You can read/converse in Korean? 🙂 6y
madamereadsalot1 @erzascarletbookgasm it's an excellent book. And yes ma'am! I'm not fluent by any means, and I end up with such anxiety trying to speak it that I bluster like a fool when I try.( I have stage fright! Lol!) But I can read it (don't usually know what it says) and write it. I can speak some and I can understand quite a bit more. My goal is to be fluent and able to go visit South Korea in 2020. 6y
madamereadsalot1 @erzascarletbookgasm and the above hangul says, Hello! Pachinko by Lee MinJin is wonderful. Please read it. :) 6y
Stephjones01 Really enjoyed this book...not learnt any Korean or Japanese but did learn what Pachinko is 👍🏼 6y

When I saw #ReadingResolution#stone I immediately though of this book I read several years back. It will definitely be back in my TBR stack very soon. One of those books where reading slowly and digesting words create the impact like a good vintage of wine.
