Gallant | V.E. Schwab

Why have I waited so long to read Gallant by V.E. Schwab? I‘m already invested. #summerofreading

I found this book while looking for a different book and borrowed it from my local library. It has been interesting thus far. #librarybook #ebook #currentlyreading #summerofreading

I‘m enjoying this collection so far. I have tried reading the first book once before and had to put it down for some reason. Always been fascinated with Anne of Green Gables since I saw the PBS cartoon, and I can‘t wait to see where the third book takes #ebook #summerofreading #currentlyreading

Finally getting around to reading my Christmas present from last year. I‘ve decided to both to #audiobook and read it. I want to be able to finish it while on vacation next week. #books #summerofreading #nonfiction

SusanInTiburon Meaningful work is worth the sacrifice! 😇💜👍🏽 8y
Annl You can do it! Did you finish Crow Girl? Would you recommend it? 8y
Owlizabeth @Annl not yet!! 😳 I did too much driving last week and went to bed early. I recommend it if you can handle reading about horrible crimes against children. It's a tough read in that regard. 8y

BookishMarginalia 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I've decided not to even worry about my percentage, because 80 is not even remotely realistic until next June & #summerofreading 2017! 8y

I was looking for a book to help me say goodbye to summer. The long, slow goodbyes the character makes to her room in GOODNIGHT MOON were perfect for this melancholy teacher on the eve of my return to the trenches.

BookishMarginalia Getting back on the school life is so hard after a #summerofreading, isn't it? 8y

Today was the first day that I had to deal with the reality that school will be starting soon (meeting). Jobs should not cut into our reading time (even when you teach English📚). At least I had some book mail😀but no #litsygoespostal (🇳🇿🛫🇺🇸it's coming from Australia) or #botm😢.

451Degrees I sympathize😞 I know my BOTM won't be here for at least a few more days😩 8y
Melkyl I go back to school in one week. My biggest hardship is that my reading time will be cut by so much. 8y
Megabooks But how special to get an international package! I haven't gotten one since high school. 👍🏻😃 8y

ScrappyMags I teach English! I am on disability (lengthy illness) but hoping to go back ASAP! It's weird how I'm DYING to lesson plan lol 8y
Twocougs @Ebooksandcooks I love international packages😍. Every so often I order from England or from Shakespeare and company in Paris, so I can get that happy feeling! 8y
Twocougs @ScrappyMags hope you're able to go back soon. Once I see my 7th graders, I'll get excited. 8y
Twocougs @Melwilk didn't it go fast this summer? 8y
Melkyl @Twocougs It went so quickly! 8y
Bookworm83 @Twocougs I didn't realize you were a teacher...I teach 7th grade, too. My kiddos show up on Thursday. I love them, but I will miss unlimited summer reading time. 8y
Twocougs @Bookworm83 exactly, I feel the same way. What do you teach? We don't start until the 1st but the meetings are already starting😢 8y
BookishMarginalia I teach 11th and 12th grade English and my kids start on Wednesday. I'll miss my #summerofreading 8y
Twocougs @BookishMarginalia @Bookworm83 teachers=awesome people! 8y
Bookworm83 I teach advanced reading. In our school English is split into reading and writing. Yep...lots of meetings these first couple of days for me, too. @BookishMarginalia I will miss it, too! 8y
Bookworm83 Absolutely! @Twocougs 8y
ErinC I agree! I go back next Friday. I'm enjoying every last minute I have left though! I teach 11-12 English too @BookishMarginalia. 8y
ScrappyMags Don't worry everyone, I got this!! I'm bored out of my mind either going to doctors (and waiting), waiting for procedures, waiting for next appt, waiting for results etc. I'll read for all of you! 🤓🤓 if I can't laugh thru all this I will cry. I choose laughter. And books! Lol 8y
Twocougs @ScrappyMags what an awesome attitude. So will you please read one book a week for me- I like everything. If anyone gives you a bad time, blame me😀. 8y
