It came! Thank you so much, @Chrissyreadit , for your generous giveaway and I‘m so happy you chose this book for me. I actually bought it for a friend for Christmas and then felt all martyr-ish when I didn‘t buy it for myself, too. 😆😆 Confederates in the Attic is a real favourite of mine (and Blue Latitudes, too).

Thank you, my friend!! 😘😘

#ThankYouGiveaway

Chrissyreadit You‘re welcome!!! I am curious about this one too- I was semi selfish picking books for everyone I wanted to see reviews of 😆 4y
Crazeedi Sounds like a fascinating book 4y

Thanks @Chrissyreadit for the chance to win in your #thankyougiveaway! My favorite book of 2019 was Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe, and I'm most looking forward to reading The Chelsea Girls in 2020!

Congratulations @Chrissyreadit on all your milestones! And what a lovely idea to do a #thankyougiveaway 😊💕
My favorite Non-Fiction of the year (tagged) was so full of warmth and empathy... I laughed, I cried and I‘ve recommended it constantly ever since!
Very excited about a new Lily King (I loved Euphoria) and the synopsis for this one sounds just my cuppa tea 😊☕️💕

@Chrissyreadit Congrats on your milestones! And thanks for the #thankyougiveaway. I loved Fleishman is in Trouble and recommend it to everyone. Really looking forward to Jenny Offill's Weather because Dept. Of Speculation was so good.

Cinfhen I really REALLY didn‘t like 4y
merelybookish @Cinfhen Well, I guess I can understand that. It was such a flimsy book, in a way. But it spoke to me at the time. 4y
merelybookish @Cinfhen Did you dislike the narrator? 4y

cathipink I'm looking forward to this one too!! 4y
Cinfhen First, expectations were high and the lack of content didn‘t impress me and I could not STAND the narrator/ I had no sympathy towards her. Maybe I read it at the wrong time but that book really niggled me in a bad way 😜 4y
BarbaraBB I loved Dept of Speculation and just like you, can‘t wait for her next one! 4y
merelybookish @Cinfhen I remember other people finding the narrator whiny 4y
merelybookish @BarbaraBB Excellent taste, as usual! 😉 4y
KarenUK @BarbaraBB @merelybookish I loved Dept. too.... and can‘t wait for the new one! 😊💕👍 4y
readordierachel I really want to read both of these! I loved Dept. too. 4y
merelybookish @KarenUK @readordierachel The premise of this new book sounds great! But I'm willing to give any novel by her a chance because I thought Dept was so well done. 4y
kspenmoll Enjoyed Dept- let us know how this book is. 4y

My favourite read from 2019 is probably Kirsty Manning‘s Song of the Jade Lily.

Congrats @Chrissyreadit on all your milestones! I read a lot of great books this year but the only one I gave 5 stars to was The Good Neighbor. It was really a great year for me with nonfiction. A book I‘m looking forward to reading in 2020 is The Book Thief. I‘m late to the party on that one and it‘s been on my shelf for a while so I wanna tackle it

Woo hoo! Congratulations on your milestones, @Chrissyreadit! 2019 was a great year for books. If I had to choose on stand out to remember, I would go with Starless Sea. It's beautifully layered and magical. I'm looking forward to reading the new book by Emily St.John Mandel in 2020. Station Eleven was amazing; so expectations are high!

💗🤗Thank you for a chance in this #thankyougiveaway!

Congratulations on you milestones, @Chrissyreadit ! 😄🎉🎊 Thank you for hosting the #thankyougiveaway !

My favorite book I read this year is probably The Fall of Hyperion. I have no idea what books are coming out in 2020, so just out of the already released books that I‘m hoping to get to next year, I‘m most excited about reading Infinite Jest.
