"Sadie" was the first book I picked up for summer reading. At first, I was really excited to read this novel. But as I read reviews my excitement waned, there were multiple that said it was underwhelming/disappointing. I almost DNFed this book, but I'm glad I didn't set it aside. and I felt goes in a direction where most YA books don't usually follow. This is not a book for people who like neat little endings. #truecrime #thumbsup #summerreading

Insightful. Real. True.

I was sooooo hooked on this book that, when I had to drive home, I found the audio so I could finish it as I drove.

What a wonderful enthralling book. It was clever all the way through and left me guessing and assuming till the very end. This was the first novel I have read by Agatha Christie and I was totally satisfied by everything I have heard about her writings. I look forward to reading more from her!

This was my first Neil Gaimin book and I loved it! I enjoyed the journey of Shadow, and all the Gods who had been brought to the USA by immigrants over the centuries. I didn't want lunch to end at work because I had to stop reading!
Definitely recommended! Now to decide whether I watch the TV show or not... the one person who started watching at work gave up...

This is a story about Amir Halgal, a 20 years old woman from a #nomadic #tribe who became bride to a 12 years old boy, during the #19thcentury in #SilkRoad. The #illustrations in this #graphicnovel are beautiful, stunning and so much details. Overall, #thumbsup for this #series. #bookstagram #bibliophage #read150 #readforlife #readanythingandeverything #multiplebookreading #centralasia #historicalfiction #librarybooks #calgarylibrary

I finally got to it! Imagine the stories she would have written and the lives she would have touched had she lived another 40 or 50 years. In today's day and age she could have sought help and proudly championed others to better cope with mental illness. I enjoyed the book and I believe I will purchase the audio download to listen to it being told by the talented Maggie Gyllenhal. #thumbsup

TrishB I often think about that! Love Sylvia 💗 8y

This audiobook was a nice change of pace for me. Kind of a quiet and subdued story of Old Hollywood, love, unrequited love, glamour, and lies meant to protect. Plus, the narrator did a great job differentiating the characters with voices and accents. #thumbsup 👍🏻
