Underrated book appreciation post! Abarat has always been one of my favorite series and not many people that I‘ve talked to have read it or even heard of it. All of the books are feature painting by the author and the world is so amazing! I wish more people could appreciate this series. What is a series you wish more people knew of?

I think Barbara Hambly is well known in the fantasy/sci-fi community, but maybe not so much otherwise. She is a fantastic storyteller. The Darwath series is one of my faves. Highly recommend especially if you like fantasy.

I highly enjoyed reading "Kindred" by Octavia E. Butler. It was a bit slow in the beginning and I felt somewhat detached from the characters, but overall it was a spectacular story! 4.5 out of 5 stars!
