1. Twilight - flung it across the room
2. Wouldn't say I love it, but 50 Shades didn't bother me. C'mon. We know what this is. No point quibbling over "plot" or "character development"??
3. Not a triangle but Hermione & Ron?
4. YA
5. Flavia de Luce - she might be a child psychopath
6. Patricia Cornwell
7. Had my fill of dystopia for the year
8. All James Patterson - better than Cornwell but still just Twinkies
9. GoT

Elisa Absolutely with you on Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson — they are two of my mom's favorite authors so when I visit I have to bring my own books! 😅 7y
NCNY I feel the same way about Flavia. She disturbed me. 7y
Sweettartlaura @Elisa I can get with a Patterson if nothing else is available. But I refuse to even look at Cornwell anymore. 7y

Sweettartlaura @Ncny Right??? Precocious girl detective should be right up my alley. But that's not at all how she turned out 👀 7y
DGRachel Thank you, thank you! I can't stand Flavia. My mom loves her, but I only read the first book and refuse to read the rest. 7y
Sweettartlaura @DGRachel Same here. Read the first with a book club, excited to maybe pick up a new series. Nope, nope, and nope. 7y

1. Game of Thrones , I just can't with this series. Where is it going? Do I even care? Why does everyone get raped? And anything Jane Austen
2. Idk really. Here I Am got some bad reviews but I really liked it.
3.
4. Romance
5. Jon Snow (Just die already!)
6. Dan Brown. ... ( Also, why are these books religiously turned into movies...??)
7. Falling for the bad guy / girl
See below

#unpopularopinionbooktag @Rachael5248

I-read-and-eat 8. Outlander. I tried the tv show but Clair (??) really got on my nerves. 7y
I-read-and-eat 9. Any comic adaptation as I don't like reading comics, but I do tend to like the movie/tv adaptation. 7y

#unpopularopinionbooktag!

1. Red Queen-derivative, boring, &poorly written. I hate Percy Jackson
2. Uh
3. I haven't finished the series so I don't know how it ends but I want Sookie to stay w/ Eric, not Bill.
4. Whodunnit/mystery
5. Every character in The Magicians esp Alice&Quentin
6. Elizabeth Gilbert-Nicolas Sparks-Jodi Picoult
7. Money/wealth as a plot device
8. Divergent
9. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy-had a hard time getting through the book

Debiw781 #6 ❤️❤️❤️ 7y
EchoLogical Red Queen?! I love that series! 7y
heikemarie @EchoLogical the Aveyard series right? I thought the world building was weak, the character development shallow, and the plot unforgivably derivative. But hey wouldn't call it an unpopular opinion if lots of folks didn't disagree so you are in far better company 😂 7y
Elisa I absolutely agree about The Red Queen! 7y
Sweettartlaura Team Eric❤️😈. Sooo much better than Bill! 7y

1. Pride and Prejudice
2. The Hangman's Daughter
3. I only read one love triangle series and no decision has been made yet, but she seems to be leaning toward the wrong guy - Stephanie Plum
4. Classics
5. See #1
6. Tom Clancy
7. Travellers unable to cope with the country they are visiting's cultural differences
8. Let me count the: Twilight, Shades of Grey
9. How about enjoy as much as the books: How to Tame Your Dragon

thegirlwiththelibrarybag I've veered wildly between Ranger and Morelli over the years... will there ever be resolution?! 7y
drokka @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I hope there's a resolution soon. It would create a whole new set of tensions. Especially if she had her end up with Morelli, and Ranger taking over the bonds shop as a silent partner. 7y

drokka @ChasingOm Huzzah! 7y
Lmstraubie I didn't like Pride & Prejudice either and always feel guilty about it. 😣 7y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag I think Stephanie needs to quit being a bounty hunter... she was amazing when she did consultation work at RangeMan (a million books back) but Morelli got weird about it... and she's not cut out for a 9-5 job! I'm hoping for some significant character development from at least one of the trio in the next book... can't tread water forever! 7y
Elisa Totally with you on #8! 7y
Elisa Also, about 3., #teamranger all the way! 😉😁 7y

1. Six of Crows.
2. The Grisha trilogy — lots of critics!
3. Not really a love triangle, but not a fan of "Rowaelin" in TOG.
4. Contemporary romance.
5. Rowan, TOG series.
6. Victoria Schwab.
7. Lost princess. Enough already, Aurora was plenty ?
8. The Lunar Chronicles. Read Cinder, not going further.
9. Game of Thrones (though I have read all the books)

#unpopularopinionbooktag Thanks for the tag @EllieDottie

1. Gone Girl
2. She's Come Undone
3. Bella should have picked Jacob. Edward is a controlling asshat.
4. YA
5. See #3
6. Any YA author
7. Young kids saving the entire freaking world
8. Fifty Shades of Grey
9. The Hobbit and LOTR

@Rachael5248

EllieDottie Haha 😂 😂 I love #7!!! 7y
heikemarie Jacob was a controlling asshat with a whining problem. Bella should have grown a spine and dealt with neither! 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @EllieDottie Glad I could entertain you! 😁😁 7y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @inwhichHeikereadsharder Couldn't agree more about her blowing that joint. Why do YA books have so many controlling men? (edited) 7y
DrSabrinaMoldenReads I am with you on most of these. 😍 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Joyfulmimi Then I like your taste in books! 7y
Lexeegee I didn't like Gone Girl either. 7y
LauraJ Yes, hated She's Come Undone. I wanted to smack that chick. A lot of us have it rough. Get over it already. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Lexeegee Every character was incredibly annoying. Not in an endearing way either. Ugh. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @LauraJ I'm okay having the #unpopularopinions. 😜 7y
Lexeegee @BarbaraTheBibliophage I was happy with it until she came back. Then it became so far fetched it was ridiculous. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I thought it was a dumb ending also. 7y
britt_brooke Not a Gone Girl fan either. It was entertaining enough, but that ending was so dumb. 7y
TheBookbabeblog84 Oh I may have to do this one...do you mind? 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @TheBookbabeblog84 Go ahead - tag me so I see your answers, ok?? 👏🏻👏🏻 7y
emilyhaldi ❤️ everything about this, especially #7 😂 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @emilyhaldi 👏🏻👏🏻 You get me! 🤣 7y
Lmstraubie I loved this one too! 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Lmstraubie Yay! Lately I've some folks being really down on it. 😰😰 7y
Cinfhen Such solid answers 👍🏻💕😊 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen Thanks. Every opinion counts! 7y
kspenmoll Love your responses but I do read YA as I work in a high school. I find some is good, some bad, some just whiney. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @kspenmoll It makes sense that you'd read it. I can't abide the whiney characters, but that's what teenagers are like so I guess it's logical. 😎 7y
