pickI‘ve never read the books but I know they‘re popular. I wasn‘t necessarily blown away by the art here but it suffices. If you‘re a fan of the books you‘ll likely enjoy this one.
I *did* learn something: Quarin, more traditionally QUAREEN. Pre-Islam & Islamic mythology. A djinn that can either be good or evil but the Quareen is someone‘s companion, guardian, driving you to good or evil behavior.
pickDresden is the only wizard (that we know of) in Chicago and he‘s up against some pretty scary werewolves. And sometimes he helps the police and sometimes they‘re locking him up. And sometimes the werewolves help him and sometimes they nearly kill him. Then there are the local mafiosi to contend with. Who‘s killing innocents in grizzly ways? Everyone has a reason to find out, and Dresden keeps making foolish decisions but ultimately the crime is ⬇️

pickI wasn‘t sure I would like this but the hilarious bob helped in a few different ways… I enjoyed Harry and how easily he got himself into trouble… and how he resolved the trouble… good read… thinking about getting the second book to see where certain characters evolve
The new covers are ugly. They need to go back to this type and also why are they bigger?!? It's ruining my shelf
