Why do I do this to myself?
I'm not a Romance person, I hate the tropes and can tell from the first chapter who the love interest will be.
But still once a year I try a Romance novel.
So please know that it's not the book reflected in my rating, but my personal feelings towards Romances in general.
I should just stop torturing myself.

AnnCrystal Discovering that same problem with Christmas reads...I'm not a romance nor drama reader. I will watch these genres in movies, yet not really books 📚🤔💝. 5d
Kristin_Reads I‘m the same too! 🙋‍♀️ 5d

Enchanted_Bibliophile @AnnCrystal Same, I love nothing better than a Rom-Com and Christmas themed movies, but reading them just drives me nuts 5d

Ruthiella 100% the same. I can watch a rom com, no problem. But I dislike romance as a literary genre. A book that has a romantic element in it along with other plot elements, I can do . But straight up romance? No thank you . 🙂‍↔️ 5d

2½✨

The atmosphere of this book was done exceptionally well, you could feel the cold, remote emptyness. But I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would.
It started off very slow, and the dynamica of this supposed friend group just felt wrong.
The characters are mostly horrible people; I actually felt like killing some of them just to not have to listen to their POV anymore.
And in the end I felt cheated by the unreliable narrators.
