New book, who dis? 🤓#empoweredwomenempoweringwomen #myfavoritemurder SO excited for this gem! I‘ve listened to their podcast for a couple years now and they are my favorite! I recommend them to anyone I meet who also has a guilty obsession of true crime. #staysexy #dontgetmurdered
Loved loved love this book! I was completely drawn into every sentence. #StrongFemale #Witch #Circe #Mythology
This is the book that I have been looking for for a very long time. I learned and laughed and found another favorite author. 💪🤓
This book is a masterpiece and it will stay with me for the rest of my life.
"The trees are mostly skinny where the hermit lives, but they're tangled over giant boulders with deadfall everywhere like pick-up sticks." ?
I loved everything about this book. I love everything about Hope Jahren and what she stands for. I recommend this book to everyone! #LabGirl #StrongWomen
My first O. Henry book while visiting the O. Henry hotel 🥂📖Greensboro, N.C.
My first George Saunders book and I'm not disappointed one bit! #SnowDayReading ❄️
I have no choice but to love everything about Carrie Fisher. 💫☄️
Super great debut novel! The ending, for me, wasn't what I expected at all. 🤓
I could hear Trevor's life stories for the rest of my life. He is such great human with such an incredible but difficult life. I learned so much by listening to his book- not only about him but more about the world that I live in. I appreciate Trevor and what he has shared with the world. I highly recommend his book- especially his audiobook. ❤️
Homegoing is absolutely one of my favorite books of 2016 😌
"You want to know what weakness is? Weakness is treating someone as though they belong to you. Strength is knowing that everyone belongs to themselves."
I can't stop thinking about this book. I definitely recommend it!
"We've seen what this world has to offer. We're scared of what it wants."
Only 24 pages in and I'm in love. Also, It's been too long Litsy. Too long. #lessresponsibilitymorereading
Finishing up on my currently reading stack and some new gems. 🌂 it's been raining for hours! First one for #biblioweekend and I am so in love with this book!
Neil Gaiman is such a brilliant storyteller. I can't stop thinking about this novel. It is absolutely haunting and such an incredible experience.
Adults follow paths. Children explore. Adults are content to walk the same way, hundreds of times, or thousands; perhaps it never occurs to adults to step off the paths, to creep beneath rhododendrons, to find the spaces between fences.
I have so many feels about this book. I liked it but it also made me angry and annoyed for many reasons.. Trying to solve my book hangover with Robert Langdon. I'm going to have to give an overall so-so with this one.
So I'm super excited! I finally got ahold of this. I don't know much about it but I know enough that it makes my book nerves come alive!🙌🏻☺️
Such an amazing book. I loved the writing and the whole book was a fantastic SciFi mystery thriller. I can't wait for the second book!
I really really like Sleeping Giants so far! I haven't been exposed to much Science Fiction in my life. Really excited that I picked this up! Does anyone have any SciFi recommendations?
Lyndsay Faye is brilliant and I had so much fun reading this! I quickly fell in love with her amazing sentences and her insane characters. Jane Steele is not a woman you forget easily!
Such a good book! It is so beautifully human. Emma Straub, where have you been all my life? She explores the two different families in a manner that is brilliantly creative and straight to the point. It is so easy to get lost in this world!
This book was intense. I felt like the descriptions were sometimes an over kill. Sometimes I got tired of the main character. Overall, it was a pretty good book. Again, very intense.
Dan Brown is brilliant. I can't wait to read his other novels.
This book is amazing. The hardest part was reading the perspectives of those who passed. I had to relate and connect with them and then mourn their loss with their families. Adding Mr. Hawley to my favorites list.
There is so much I love about Mary Roach. She's not afraid to ask questions and get dirty to fulfill her curiosities. Her voice is genuine, informative and hilarious. I'm eager to get more of her books.
Nonstop reading this book! Luckily I'm not flying anytime soon..
I absolutely loved this book. I felt like I've been to local Paris cafes and Spain's bull fights. I have spent the last week with Jake and lived through his experiences. What a beautiful novel! What a nasty author!
I really enjoy Mary Roach. This is the first book I have experienced from her. Her text is easy to listen to and her notes are very entertaining. The narrator took time for me to get used to because she doesn't have much of a personality while reading. Overall, she does well.
I am a better woman and human because of Lindy West's memoir Shrill. I laugh and cried and laughed some more. I just want to give her a hug. Thank you Lindy. Always be loud.
Finished and breathless. Speechless. What a work of art. Read with an open mind.
Already so in love with this woman. Listening to the audio book as recommended by All the Books! An amazing podcast from Book Riot that I obsessively listen to (no shame). Highly recommended the book and my favorite podcast. Thank you Liberty and Rebecca!
"It was this fear of sickness- which ticked inside her like a genetic bomb- that kept him from pushing things to their extremes, kept him back from the edge of terrible behavior. There was only so much you could hurt this lovely woman before she imploded."
Just starting reading. Which is surprising for me because I was always fascinated with her poetry. It is my late start to the Read Harder challenge by Book Riot 🙃
Although I am being super slow at reading this book, I'm falling in love with it. It is delightfully out of my element! It's my first Book of the Month and I am a lifetime subscriber without a doubt.
