Mehso-so

Loved the concept of this story and that it was an easy read overall. I found the characters to be mostly decent people who have their share of screw ups even as adults, showing how messy life can be. Straub covers a lot of social issues and it felt like an episode of Degrassi at times with how much there was going on. I just wish that she delved deeper into one or issues rather than trying to mention them all.
#readwithjenna #botm

marleed Yep, the kitchen sink genre where characters are simply a caricature for a social issue drives me crazy. Ultimately in this book I was surprised that at the end I still enjoyed the characters so I gave it a slow pick. I feel only Astrid‘s story was fully revealed and it makes me wonder if she will write more about this family. 5y
Chelsunderthesea91 @marleed I did find myself liking most of the characters by the end and most were starting to grow. I agree it didn‘t seem finished. I would love a whole short story from Robin and Ceceila‘s POV. 4y

My lovely Easter gift. 🐰🐣While I love books, I have way too many and am trying to digitize for future moving purposes. My sister was thoughtful enough to help with this endeavor.

ErinSBecker What's the green thing on the right? A Kindle case? 5y
Fdvgf I got mine a few months ago and love it - especially now when I can easily borrow from my library‘s digital library. Also, it makes it so easy to take my books anywhere I‘m going so I don‘t miss out on any opportunity to read when there‘s a few unoccupied minutes.👍🏻😍 5y
Chelsunderthesea91 @ErinSBecker It is! It‘s a Harry Potter themed case. 5y
Chelsunderthesea91 @Bookish.Best.Friend I am the same way. I have a book with me no matter what and this will definitely make it easier to put in my bag. I‘m happy to know that it‘s still easy to borrow books as well. I got the Kindle Unlimited so I‘m seeing how much I like that. 5y

This gem of a book kept me company while working inside today. As a whole, I‘m not the romance book type, but this one was unputdownable for me. It had that element of realism that is sometimes missing. Besides who isn‘t dreaming of quarantine being over and being able to enjoy reading on a beach? #BOTM #quarantineread

Just finished this gem and love how ‘nice‘ she is in it. For those who have read it of course I mean nice I‘m the witty, sarcastic, and unapologetic way this is written. Most actors and actresses with memoirs try hard to be relatable with readers; Kendrick had me at mentioning Yellow Rat Bastard in NYC.

Just finished this one as part of my social distance readathon. I loved how honest and open she actually was and that at times she speaks directly to the reader. I wouldn‘t say it was always a fun read since she spoke about a few low points as well, but it was quick, relatable, and enjoyable.

A rare snow day in Durham means I can catch up on some reading! ❄️📚 #bookclub #snowday #popsugarreadingchallenge #onmyshelf

ImperfectCJ Durham! My old stomping grounds! We had a couple of weird winters when I lived there in the early aughts. 5y
Chelsunderthesea91 @ImperfectCJ I moved here last year and right after we had 7 inches of snow. It has been strange. 5y
ImperfectCJ @Chelsunderthesea91 One winter we had record-breaking snow---24 inches in one storm. Another we had an ice storm that knocked out our electricity for 8 days. Those were very chilly days! My mom in Ohio was unimpressed, but it was remarkable for Durham. 5y
Chelsunderthesea91 @ImperfectCJ That is crazy for Durham. Growing up in Orlando, I wouldn‘t know what to do with all that snow. This recent 3 inches was plenty for me. 5y

1) The most books I‘ve read of any author is Dean Koontz with The Funhouse as my favorite.

2) I currently have 2 with a lot of books still in storage from moving around a lot.

3) I organize my books by height and of course keep series together.

Eggs #3 - great idea-height👏🏻🤗 5y
