I think children would really enjoy this book because of the connection between the cat and the boy and they will also learn a little about the Titanic. I would have children read this independently. This book takes you to a dystopian reality where parents are only allowed to have 2 children. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. I would have children read this as part of a literature circle.

What an amazing book! I never thought I would relate to a 10 year old boy so much. Wonder ( RF) by R.J Palacio takes you through the challenges of a little boy with a facial deformity named August Pullman. Everyone should share this book with their class. I would use literature circles for this book so the children can really discuss all of the aspects together and have healthy discussions.

As you can see by the title it is about a VERY hungry caterpillar! I would do a RA for this book so the children can enjoy the full experience. There are some that we will read to our kids that were probably read to our parents. This book supports the National Science Standards and it describes the habitat characteristics, and life cycle of chameleons. I used to love these types of books when I was in elementary school because I loved and still do love all animals! For this book I would have my students read this with a partner so that they can discuss the animal throughout the book.

The Wizard of Oz | Lyman Frank Baum, Charles Santore
