My aspiration to become a public defense attorney is what initially brought me to the law. I got to hear Bryan Stevenson speak in Sacramento when I worked at the Dept. of Justice. I started to think maybe defending people on death row is where I needed to focus. This book basically convinced me not to pursue that career but nonetheless served as a huge inspiration to me. Highly recommend!

Very easy read for anybody interested in going to law school and wanting to know more about the day to day challenges of attending law school. I question some of the accuracy of her narrative though.

I consumed this book in just a couple of days. I couldn‘t put it down! I recommended it to my other incoming law school buddies.
