Honestly, this one was between a so-so and a pick. I think I just mentally hyped it up to much and it didn‘t live up to my expectations. The story felt fast paced at times and I didn‘t always know what was going on. 3.5⭐️. I thought this bookmark was ironic for the Cinderella retelling this book was.

Very interesting take on a Cinderella retelling. I enjoyed this but felt it was missing the steam factor.

A universe where all sexual identities are normalized. A retelling of Cinderella. Magical realism. That‘s why this book gets a pick from me. My only complaint is that I wish the relationship with Sidhean was more fleshed out. There was no push-pull between the three main characters, so that aspect of the story felt like a non-issue when it should have been more important or intriguing, I guess. Still, bravo for the stellar representation!

A sweet and engaging book, not exactly what I expected, but a satisfying retelling of Cinderalla. #youngadult

Holy heck so good. The beautiful weaving in of Irish mythology, the fairy tale retelling, it was beautiful and magical. I especially appreciated that queer relationships were *normalised* instead of agonised over or socially despised/ignored. 10/10
