Hanging out with Nancy Drew tonight during my #HyggeHour with herbal tea & a soft & chewy chocolate chunk/chip oatmeal raisin cookie. (So good!)🍪😋

Mood is tired. My asthma/allergies are still bugging me & I have to work tomorrow, but then I‘m taking some PTO days so I don‘t lose it. So, I‘m grateful to have much of the week officially off (even if I‘ll be working on a big work project part of the time).

Starting the book today, printed in 1940, and we are going to South America! #nancydrewbr

We‘re two weeks away from our next #NancyDrewBR discussion, #LittenDetectives ! It‘s kind of fun that it takes place on the Ides of March! 😂

Whether you‘re going to South America or The Netherlands with Nancy, the title suggests there‘s a brass-bound trunk, and Nancy has to solve its mystery. What secret does it hold? Will Nancy have to fly a plane or steer an ocean liner? I guess we‘ll find out!

Unfortunately, my ebook doesn‘t seem to have a proper cover, so I copy this one off Amazon. When you look at the cover you expect something completely different - Nancy Drew and the Mystery of the Red Eyes or something. 🤣🤣🤣 Even though it is somewhat misleading, I still like the major plot line because it was interesting.

Did anyone else stumble across the basement recreation room in the Drew‘s house? Or should I say mansion? Villa? Castle? How big is this house? And how big must this room be to have enough space to practice tap dancing? 🏰🏰🏰

I had the 1940 version on my shelf for next month. Looking forward to seeing what Nancy does next. #NancyDrewBR

Slowly catching up on #nancydrew

Book 14 has Nancy and friends solving multiple mysteries. As always it was a bit outlandish, but wasn‘t too bad. She has to disguise herself and work in a shop to solve a mystery. She also does a lot of boating but also people keep attacking her while she‘s boating… She‘s also trying to find a statue and see if it‘s whispering or not.

In this installment, Nancy tap dances, communicates in Morse code and is surrounded by a huge number of Persian cats. I didn't like this one as much as earlier novels, but the 1970's white pantsuit that Nancy sports on the cover is pretty awesome.

This starts with a tapping Nancy. She‘s learning it because a friend of Hannah has asked for help with some tapping sounds in her home. Nancy and her friends also learns that someone is stealing the woman‘s cats

We finally learn who Nancy has all talents from (in case we ever wondered) since her dad takes care of a bomb. He thought learning that would come in handy

It‘s entertaining and a younger me would have been scared while reading this

March‘s #NancyDrewBR follows Nancy on a trip—if you read the 1940 version, it‘s South America, and the 1976 version is the Netherlands. I think there must be a mystery surrounding a brass-bound trunk…😂
