It's not much but it's coming along. My first library! We just moved & there's a spare room so we're turning it into a library/relaxing room 😎 There's 2 more bookcases in the right corner ($25 at Target hiii) and in the corner I'm standing in we're putting a daybed! I'm gonna get some cute throw pillows so it'll be more like a couch most of the time, but guests will also be able to sleep on it when they come visit 😍 @Blueberry
This is one of those tag things on Instagram stories but I just had to share it here too! The blank template is on the Quirk Books Instagram page if you'd like it!
@Blueberry
We don't have wifi yet at our new house + all my hooks are still in boxes, so I went to the library, conveniently 3 minutes away! I checked out volumes 1 & 2 of The Backstagers, a comic that's been on my TBR for awhile now. It's about a group of teens that work on the backstage crew for their schools theatre club, but there's some spooky stuff involved 👀 It kind of reminds me of Lumberjanes.

Just picked up the book Illuminae from the library book store! I had no idea what it was about but I remember seeing the cover everywhere awhile back. It's actually an ARC & I've never seen a hardcover ARC + the book flap made me laugh & got me intrigued, so I had to bring it home. I flipped though & it seems to be told in emails or something like that? A format I generally enjoy. If you've already read this let me know what you thought!
Our day at #BayBookFest yesterday! Gonna miss going to this every year once I move ☹ What are your favorite book events on the east coast? Specifically in driving distance from Maryland 😂

At B&N with @Blueberry looking at travel journals. Only found these two but wasn't in love with them. I think I want something more to document the trip rather than for planning one. Any recommendations?
"Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah they were all yellow" ?

My other current read ? I'm reading this one with Andrew. It's been on my radar for awhile, but when we started reading books together I knew I had to get a copy. Then I found it at the used book store with @Blueberry ! He's really into Lovecraft/Cthulu stuff & I kept seeing this called a "Scooby Doo-Lovecraft mashup." I was also getting Stranger Things vibes. Still waiting for it to get real juicy, but excited for the adventure ahead.
Reading on my lunch break today. Would rather be reading at home, but in a Starbucks works too.
At BookPub last night with @Blueberry 🍻 If you have a chance to try 2 Towns Ciderhouse raspberry lemonade hard cider, it's sooo good! #BooksAndBrews #MysteryWritersOfAmerica

Andrew & I finished Bloodsucking Fiends the other night! Took us awhile because I was sick for weeks & kept falling asleep when he'd read to me 😂 We both really enjoyed it, & will probably pick up the next two books eventually. We've already started our next book though :)

Reading I'll Be Gone in the Dark & they keep referencing the community college I went to! Spooky 😳

The only thing I haven't done is #6, because my library card is attached to my keys 😂 What about you @Blueberry ?
I got this from the library for 2 reasons:
1) I'm seeing Neil Gaiman in May & wanted to read more of his books by then.
2) The theme for Book Pub this month was fantasy.
My husband loves Neil Gaiman & asked if I wanted to read it together, I hate reading aloud but figured it might be fun to try. So we took turns reading to each other, aside from the last couple nights where he did all the reading, bc I got sick & didn't want to. He's a keeper 😂
Were you a fan of the manga Fruits Basket back in the day??? I sure was, and I was super ecstatic when I heard Fruits Basket Another was being published. It's going to be a three volume series, but only one & two are out now.
I have read every single Daniel Handler book hoping I would enjoy it as much as I enjoyed A Series of Unfortunate Events or seeing him at book events. But I think it's just time to admit that that won't be happening any time soon.
Look fam I read things 📚
90% of what I read was comics & manga but this infograph doesn't need to know that. @Blueberry
Book snowman at my local library! ☃️ @Blueberry
Happy #FriYayIntro :) Fun fact: I ordered this scarf last year from an Etsy shop in North Yorkshire, England. But it only got cold enough to wear it this month so this selfie was its first time out 😂
@howjessreads
Was anyone watching the TV series "You," based on the book by Caroline Kepnes? I just finished the season finale. So creepy! It convinced me to finally put a lock on my phone, hahah. If you've read it, how does the book compare? If I know all the major twists, is it still worth reading? And if you watched it, what did you think about that finale???!!
1. Toy Story
2. No. I can't drive a regular shift lol.
3. The Lorax 🤮

I'm also reading The Dinner. About halfway through it now. I'm not sure how much I like it yet, but I DO know I'm not a fan of our friend Paul. I'm planning to watch the movie when I'm finished.
